' Wrote:I was referring to the removal of NPC CD's, not Player CD's. Npc CD's are nothing more than an annoyance right now, and they play to an unfair advantage to players trying to flee from an opposing player. Random police pat in an isolated patch of space in NY? That's going to be hell for the pirate player later on, an advantage that is somewhat unfair to them. What if that LN player toted an MR instead of a CD? Well they sacrifice the ability to stop people from running then, don't they? But oh look, here comes a flight of Patriots to hinder the pirate. Albeit only a minor example, try that again with a swarm of BHG npcs in the Omega's, severely slowing you down whilst trying to answer a call to a friend's plea for help.
People have complained about npc cd's for a while now, hence they're being removed (Once again, not 100% sure, but I think Cannon said something about it.).
And what if there's pirate transport (player) running around Manhattan about ten minutes? It's unfair for orbital traffic to stop it, or they should watch?
Or what about adding more "luck" factors in-game? Oh, yes, they don't allow your Niobium transport to pass through NB? What a shame, mine isn't allowed as well, but I'm okay with it somehow. If you're in hurry, get escorts.

where in the conversation did we say that no CDs for lawful transports?
no CDs means no CDs. that means everyone wont have that problem.
I take my Rogue Pirate Train through Rheinland and to the Sigmas and have to deal with them, and I survive without CMs, and usually don't have to use regens.
I also cannot express how much I hate image hosts that require javascript.

Okay, the same thing happens to Police or Traders running from Pirates. Using the lane to escape? NPCs disrupt it. The chance of running into a random Police Patrol in an isolated place in New York is pretty comparable to running into either a Pirate patrol or the same patrol disrupting a trade lane. It's not really unfair; it's bad luck. Oh well. Move on.
Really, Train CDs are kind of cruel, as well as the Nomad CDs near Kappa/Delta, but those places are supposed to be dangerous, so, really, what can one expect? All other CDs are really quite fine.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
Yes, there are certain places where a CD should be placed on certain npc pats, like around the orbit of populated planets. However, there are a fair number of places in the game where CD's are truly an annoyance at best *Nudges at a Hunter swarm near a JH*
So, I was like totally in front of Manhattan in my pirate ID/tagged bloodhound and like this dread patrol like totally fired on me! I was like OMG! did he just do that!?!?
So like how am I supposed to hang out in front of Manhattan and like pirate and stuff when I get jumped by swarms of like bounty hunters, police patriots and like dread patrols? HUH?
It is like totally unfair, I mean like I know I am like supposed to not be there at all anyway but like I totally want to.
