I've got it.
*crack knuckles*
End Users License Agreement type thing.
I know most people would scroll through it and click, but that way when they made a character, BAM! Popup agreement (with Freelancer style buttons and layout), that way they absolutely cannot plea ignorance to the rules.
But only on new characters, not like... every time you log on. And a button somewhere maybe labeled "rules"... But I realise this is only a mod, not the makers of the game. So if this is un-doable then, sorry.
But make it an agreement that you have to scroll to the bottom before you click accept, like those new ones.
To me this sounds like the best option, although probably the most labor-intensive for the Mod Creator(s?). And now I bid the forums goodnight... Goodnight, forums.
**Edit in reference to Dopa to avoid spamming with replies every time** -- Oh, sorry... Well, if it can be done I suggest it should be. Once again, goodnight... This time for real. I was attending to some business.

"pokes him and nods at the previous post on page 3"
How about having the rules pop up when you sell the Gem? Format it like a software licence agreement which you have to scroll to the bottom to click accept.
This could be added to bats and bots too so we all get to do it (only once obviously)
That way everyone will have said they accept the rules whether they abide by them or not, then when they are caught breaking em.......
It would be tedious to read all the way through when you just want to play but you only have to do it once.
I think I will be buying a set soon and printing em so I have em to hand, I wonder if Tony will pay me for all that paper?
already been shot down in flames Magoo.
but "ding!" how about a redirect at the global server page, instead of joining the server you get taken to a rules URL. You then scroll down, hit accept and connect. just the once though.
wouldn't mess with the game engine or code at all.
Acidic, thats called reading the Roleplay forums, and everyone's message dumps there. Thats how you get an
idea of whats going on.
Its not all about who is at war here, its about the overall interactive RP ...
