- the green cross insignia are not attached afterwards - but they are transparent "masks" - to place a strobe light behind. ( the neat thing about that is - that you do not see the "mask" ingame - but you see a flashing light - flashing in a cross shape ) .... i have just made t hem opaque so they are more visible.
the entire ship is based on the zoner design + the old hiigaran battlecruiser ( outcast destroyer ) - cause its such a sleek design.
- the ship is meant to look advanced - yet civilian. - i have given it an appearence of a "joint" project between like zoners and the GMG.
- the current shipsize ( regarding the size of the windows ) is of roughly a battlecruiser - or a slightly larger outcast destroyer sort of
*edit: unfortunately - it turned out to be one of the rather unpopular "catamaran" designs..but there you go...
since its in the "media" section - i m also looking for comments about the looks - cause i m not sure if its actually something that any faction "could" build at all ( design-wise )
*edit2: like the LSF spyglass - one could turn this model into a "stationary" object - with a nice lore/ID card... somewhere in space. ( meaning - NO playership )
cheaply made? - i can attach a rusty skin ( salvager skin - if i can find it somewhere ) - and make it a junkers... errr.. hospital? ( sounds wrong ) - junkers drug haven maybe.
I liked the old Frigate more than this one. This looks more like a sleek Gunship or light Cruiser. A flying Hospital should be bigger and not really sleek and fast. Larger to take more Patients.
"Who is it doing this synthetic type of alpha beta psychedelic funkin'?"
It generally looks good, however it might have a wee bit too many things sticking out, especially at the front. They give it a more aggressive look which it of course shouldn't have. That's actually the only thing I can be picky about.
I like it's high-tech look and the catamaran shape is quite fitting as I can imagine smaller ships, ambulances and stuff mooring there. I would love to see the crosses in-game as well.
As for who could build it, while I would love to say The Medics an official player group consisting of 4 people isn't really capable of building ships I must admit:PBut obviously it should be civilian tech, maybe a joined project between OSC and Cryer?
It lacks volume, something needed to house many patients in humane conditions and their doctors.
Now... Is this considered something of a crisis-responce ship serving large numbers of patients in absence/destruction of related planetary/station infrastracture or a specialised ship to care a few select individuals on remote locations?
If it is the latter, the volume is ok.
If it is the former, it's not. Needs volume, windows, an arboretum (geodesic dome), a zero-g section to sythesize parmaceuticals etc.
well - i have looked at military grade "medical naval units" - and they do have something sleek about....
they are not hulking behemoths - but rather medium sized "quick response" units.
i also looked at other sci-fi universes ... like BattleTech and their MASH units - which are also high end, fast and sleek vehicles. .... i think there might be two types of hospitals - one for long term treatment - and another for first aid.
that one would be first aid - an emergency vessel.

As I said I would say it could act more like a large hospital with smaller ships being able to moor/dock in the space between the two hull parts. As for windows I actually have to agree, though I believe there are actually quite some windows they aren't visible in these renders.
it has many windows - NOT as many as the flying outcast biodome... but many for a spaceship. ( for its size - it has a huge amount - like the BHG battlecruiser ) - they are smaller and more slitlike though... not as prominent as the huge ones on some of epyons designs.
they d be visible ingame... - cause stuff in milkshape renders doesn t really "glow".
