I have taken the liberty of reading Ghosts of the Past. It was a good story, but extremely farfetched. Apparently, what I managed to read was:

Strange ships made of crystal appear.

Oh noes!

Phantoms and nomads work together.

Oh noes!

Asgards do stuff!

Woo! Asgards!

Stuff happens!

Darkstar and Luciaden are fighting!

And this is where I lost it. It looks too much like some plot ripped off of some other story. Really, it seems that bad luck and conflict follows the AWs.

I had a feeling this was gonna start again...I knew it! See told ya, now Salamander that was uncalled for considering! You have an RP where your character is working with a nomad and it is sorta like a Symbiote. You have no right to ask for an explanation and when someone points to an RP story flame it on the forums.

You sir...are a flame-whore. With no better reasons except that you are so petty that you have nothing other to do than to make flame posts like that. Dab, Kane and many others worked hard on that RP. And you certainly have no right to go about bashing it.

Many people have farfetched RP, my own stretches the realm of belief but that is the point of Discovery... the day that someone cannot RP to their full extent without being attacked by petty little children like you is the day that I leave discovery. You have failed at being a member of this community. And if people wanna work stuff out about Dab's RP. Instead of blatantly flaming on the forums...use skype or PM. For god's sake stop already. These kinds of flames are what will bring discovery to the level of VOID and worse!

Tanktarget, you aren't helping.

AW are receiving constructive criticism for the most part. Addressing these issues instead of saying how good your RP is, or how bad another person's is, is not helping, since it is not the issue. If someone is flaming, ignore it and rise above it.

Perhaps looking at the non-smartass comments and offering a return on them would be better.

Well personally I assumed this was over, and apologies to the others in this thread that have been intelligently posting... that was directed at Salamander.

As one last note...every time this is brought up it ends in flames. And it is because no one reads the RP that Dab has written... myself included. When thinking of talking about AW's RP it's always better to do it in private. Because it never goes well on the forums.

The issue in question isn't Dab's RP. Noone is saying his RP is bad. Not even Salamander.

It is the 'Zonerness' and the general diplomacy of the AW that this is about. That has not been dealt with satisfactorily. The debate didn't end up ending last time since Korrd had to lock it.

I may be Bandwagon-jumping, but I fly what is probably the only independent Bretonian Battleship on the server, and I have taken, collectively, more (figurative) flak for it than Treewyrm for the Harbinger. Outcast tagged, of course. If you don't know, see my sig for a summary. Anyways, I always get yelled at for being OORP, which it is not, because their is RP for it, RP I am quite fond of. While I can understand suspicion, it is impolite to critique other's RP unless they actually ask for it. Whenever I want opinions on an idea I have, I say "Thoughts?" Do you see an OOC post with "Thoughts?" there? I don't go openly insulting Roleplay unless it's (a) a joke, or (b) so ridiculously underthought and pathetic that the writer just needs a perma-ban right then and there. Please, point those guns of yours somewhere else. Right now, you are a very large, very lightly armored, very slow freighter crossing the Atlantic ocean with the Bismarck, Hood, Missourri, New Jersey, Iowa, Vanguard, and Yamato all pointing their 14-inch-plus guns at your midsection. Not a good road to travel...
