New Groups

If someone starts up a group based on some silly idea- e.g straight import from a TV show, people are going to push it out. Most people don't want to see that in Discovery, its not RP, its Mimikary.

Or if said new group does stuff that is in direct contradiction to what has been done in the past, people will also want it out as it is essentially trying to destroy what was set up before.

Its not unique to discovery , but is common to any community.

The.Joker managed to create one of the most interesting characters on Disco (for the time being) despite heavy opposition and being a partial import.

The Ori failed at that.

First all i am not new..I have been around here long enough to see how corrupt the community is.
And no i will not shhh, what right do you have to tell me to shush? None.

Quite clearly, you're not all that knowledgable about the members of Discovery, nor about my general view point.

If you look over my post, you'll not see a single bit where I say that the older members are always right. What I said was that people have been here longer and have worked harder than any new member, ergo they deserve the respect they get from members of the community.

New players that come along, do not deserve respect. They have to earn it. This community has been here long before them and will, likely, be here long after them.

For the record, I quite often disagree with the older members.

And lastly go play the game if you think there is a problem with the community you aint going to sort it out here it has to be done in game not by causing yourself more problems.

You're new here. You don't know anything about anyone. You certainly weren't here when factions had to sit around and let everyone do what they wanted to. So, here's a piece of advice for you. Sssh. Just sssh. Play the game.

Understood that these people that don't like you have been around for much longer than you have.

Understand that these people have worked a lot harder for this community than you.

Understand that these people have worked a lot harder for their respective factions than you.

Understand that the people that have sanctioned you are amongst the more harder working members of this community.

Understand that you are new here, you have to earn peoples respect. Not the other way around.

Understand that we don't give two crap about what you think.

So, after all, you earn respect and your ideas are accepted if your joining date is not in the last 4 years, right? Very funny and sad at the same time because there are many people that think the same in this "community".

I don't agree with the OP either... here are some examples of groups that were accepted, even if they had nothing to do with the original lore: The Bretonian Buccaneers, the Virulian Enclave, Queen Carina's Privateers, etc. They were accepted because they were not imports and they had something plausible in their story. The members of said groups acted nicely and didn't provoked storms like some of the recent ones (th[A]t were, of course, rejected).

So, as long as your new group brings something new AND plausible for the FL universe, you shouldn't have big problems.

What clique, good sir ? This is my personal opinion on the Joker. He has earned my respect with great roleplay and interactions ingame and on the forums, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who thinks that way. That's why I said "our" respect.

I beg to differ. We had our FR5 overturned
because it was proven we were unfairly treated.

As I said, who deserved got sanctioned. Who didn't deserve comes out clean.. everyone has a chance to defend him self or his group, provide evidence that they weren't doing stuff they were reported for.

What about that stupid group [SR] space rangers? They have [SR] tagged ships in Order,BMM and corsair...always shooting people with no RP etc.....but i guess they are no threat for you to getting destroyed all the time.

I seen them Ori kill alot of people who came to attack them, maybe thats why they got banned coz they dented the BHG and SCRA egos.
