I want to see either alive, active faction actively using OP (which I don't mind) guns, since they're better material to pvp with, or I don't want to see them in mod, as we should have balance, since IRP we'd have pretty much different picture of weapons. For example the Bundschuh doesn't have real engineers - where did they take guns? The same should go almost for all pirate factions. Codies aren't really real RP too, if we can't use faction guns looted from wrecks.
As much as I hate Akura's changing of Lore and making the Order Nazis basically, I actually say give them the guns.
Makes sense InRP. Where in RP does it make sense that you stick a tentacle ona Chimarea?
For the first sentence:
I'll make a topic to discuss this to not clutter this thread.
Second sentence:
Dont harass me for Jeremy's telekenisis or age, I explain it in my story.
Again...
Roleplay wise, makes sense. Akura has a valid argument. Since there is NO WAY we can know, they want to coexist, having hybrid guns for PvP in my book is ok.
Stop Q_Q'n and hating to those applicable.
And Akura, I still hate your Togo. I demand a rematch one day.

Isejins aren't dead, but I'm sure majority of your members are bored.
Das Wilde have recruited a few more people to help with this, and us Iseijin have switched up our tactics to get move active.

Cheers Jeremy.

The ignorance in this thread is amusing to say the least.
Crete artifacts = Dam K'vosh toilet paper. :D
Here's my POV. DW can kill things with whatever guns we decide to use. It's not the guns, it's the teamwork/skill. Getting Wild guns is just like the LN getting their own guns. Are they going to be used for PvP? Yes. Will this cause DW to RP less or suddenly force us to enter a "Golden Age" ? Probably not. But they'd remove one of the (doh) things about playing a Wild character.
If this was the LN proposing to get their own gunset, and they currently only had Liberty Civilian, would everyone be whinging this much?
The main point of the opposition here, seems to be of the weapon type and stats asked for, rather than the theory. I personally, while i hate the factions who will use it with a passion, agree that seeing tentacles on wraiths and scorpions is just silly.
However, I would also point out that while it is true some people call the wild out on first contact without rping much, the opposite is also very true, with the nomad type factions doing random gankfests at will, at least from what i have seen.
Also, if your going to try to pose as a faction, how about using their tech instead of expecting me somehow not to notice the nomad crap on your ships? ive seen a wilde fafnir with a singularity cannon a few weeks ago, honestly, a quick scan would show the diffrence. Ive also seen wraiths with nomad guns and other random crap.
To sum up: YES, they should get their own weapons. NO, those weapons should NOT be better than any faction gun that any indie can get. Even nomad weapons were designed with a downside. These need to follow that same principle, or we end up with turbosquid syndrome again.
I have a problem with one of the arguments you are making Akura. Which is that it's ok for you to have OP guns because you will only use half a loadout of them. Thats what the dev team was promised regarding the scorpion, we see how well that worked. Unless the rules state that you cannot use more than 50% loadout, it's an argument I cannot get behind. We have seen this play out before. "We need these guns because we get shot alot, and I promise we will only use a half load out of them so it's not too op" which then turns into a full loadout and a super op loadout. The guns should be balanced the same if you plan to use a 50% loadout or a full loadout of them, because if they are balanced for 50% I am pretty sure at some point they will be used as a full loadout since there is no rule against it.
Also, these weapons will make your people look more like nomads, not less. An unidentifiable weapon will make every one of your ships suspicious to local law and others. I can tell you now if you fly into Kusari and tell us we cant see that you have guns that no one knows anything about, we will laugh at you and then shoot you for being some kind of unknown. Please dont try to tell people how they have to react to you. As I have said to you before, if you want people to rp with you like you are the KNF or the RM, you have to act and have loadouts that are exactly like the KNF or RM.

Uh. We do.
Nomad guns on a Wild ship means it's most likely going to kill you, and isn't hiding anything.
If it is, it's lying to you, to confuse you.
Also, these guns are meant for the overt, offensive side of the Wild.
