arguing about imperfecct analogies moves us from the main topic.
Lets concentrate on Crosair and OC ships.
Here is an idea. How aobut adding 2 more guns to the titan(lvl 7 may be ?).
I have flown a titan in Void that has 4 guns on each wing.
Lets be reasonable, titan was not the best ship in vanilla.
after this mod, there are a lot more contenders (list is too long to list here).
That extra armor means nothing if you are slow.
Titan needs to capitalize on mistake but with the advent of Armor, they have to hope that the pilot makes a whole bunch of mistakes.
Corsairs fly titan against
BD
Sabers
Eagles
Talon
Claw
etc etc
And for all those who claim BD is not all that good. Please....fly the ship from your faction then, there should be no reason for your faction to fly a inferior ship from another faction. You obviously havemoney because OC makes one of the best caps. Now the sopposed "weakness" of the Dragons can be argued as follows:
1. The splash damage on vanilla ships has been nerfed so though it still happens, it is not that significant.
2. Splash weapons dont track that good, unless you dive head first into the tip of a missle. Specially against a very fast ship.
Oh, by the way if you are not planning to use OC fighters, may be have a garage sale and let corsairs have em. lol. PEACE
Titan as agile as Saber will be the most uber ship.... btw. there are many more ships around that you need to balance against.. not just the Sabre (which is in the top 4 agile VHFs now)
2 more guns would not really fix anything... the Titan will get even better 1on1. Now it's powerplant allows to fire Mini Razor + 4 Codes + 2 Shieldbusters or Salamacas on every joust. Many VHF are actually very close in agility to Titan, Raven Claw and Avenger to give some examples. Problem of the Titan is that it's not so usefull in large battles, because of agility. Adding guns would not solve that. And you cannot increase his agility more... it will become uber to half VHFs in Discovery.
Leave it as it is and focus on changing the other Corsair fighters
- Arwing is actually much more agile than Scimitair.. but it's bugged now, so it needs to be fixed
- Decurion and Centurion can use an agility increase. I think Centurion should be as agile as Sabre is now. And Decurion much closer to the Scimitair.
I believe main point of this thread was to say that the coming Outcast GB should not be better than the Corsair GB is... so that they keep advantage at least in some area.

Only thing that got changed is that splash damage on vanilla ships does not blow off wings/other parts so easily... damage on hull is still the same I believe.
It is significant... any vanilla ship still dies to one nuke... or one very good placed cannonball.
Real examples
- 2 Titans died each to one Cannonball from my Wrath 2 days ago
- Zapp, Ripper, Azzazello all died to one nuke from me :secret:(on separate occasions Zapp:))
- about 70% of kills in my LF are to mines.... as lately as today one Manta tasted it... one mine and he was dead
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
Just curious... is there a modded Stiletto about, or what? I know the Centurion got a face lift, but I don't think the Stiletto did. I'd like to fly a Stiletto Mk II, if one's ever made...
While I don't remember that incident (him killing all 3 of us with one nuke) I know whatcha mean... Nuke mines kill a lot of fighters in one hit. Very annoying.
No doubt. No, the Stiletto did not get that facelift, I think there was a thread about that a while ago and I want it too... As for the issue of the OC GB being uber I've changed the model so it's about equal to the Sair gunboat with six-eight guns, preferably six. It looks like an effing box now, but I think I managed to make a pretty box, at least...I'll post pics as soon as I have time, currently on stolen interweb.

There isnt any mk2 for HFs, all the mk2's are for the LF. So your dagger became Scimitar and the Corsair light fighter got the mk2 decurion.
There was a thread about giving the HF's a mk2 but it was said that a heavy fighter mk2 is actually a very heavy fighter so..
I think if the Centurion was changed it got a slight agility boost because it had just about the same agility as the Titan but that was all, you can look at its stats now and its really crap for a HF, infact someone even said your VHF has better agility than the Corsairs HF which is pretty messed up if true.

I wouldn't mind loosing some of the Titans power supply for abit more agility.
