Wasupu "is being used often" by GMG, as far as I know.
Dunno, I think GMG ships shouldn't have significant Kusari features aside from low armour/small model. And I don't think GMG needs its own VHF at all, their HF is more then fine.
Well, yeah it looks beautiful, others are correct in saying that our HF works fantastic. I noticed someone comparing GMG climbing the ship ranks to something akin to a slippery slope. That is terrifyingly wrong. GMG ID, like the other Guilds and Zoners, had all Caps illogically slapped on it. Yes we had all the way up to BSs on GMG ID and the logic the other factions used for theres would apply double fold for GMG having them since they existed and were a military power for hundreds of years longer. Instead we opted out from using them at the time since GMG space was almost completely and exclusively in the clouds at that time. We argued that caps are of no use in our clouds and GMG wouldn't build caps to be used in our clouds. Caps got removed from ID and I began setting out a slow process to GMG cap useage, rather then coming up with something on the spot to explain something slapped on. Over the last two years our space has grown that now the clouds only make up half our controlled space and might even be less then that next mod. I've finnished the making of the three BSs, an idea that started before I even came to Disco, and will have Sakhalin Shipyards appearing next mod as the source of our paramilitary ships and the repair berth for our BSs. You'll see me here and there next mod doing the slow RP of getting an Engineer over to Sakhalin. I happen to have an agreement with a group for this and we are gonna pay that engineer to draw us a design we will build. Same guys who designed the Kagutsuchi and yes same idea; Siege-type Cruiser. Pushing for 4.87 on that (with the expectation that .87 isn't coming so it's for the RP).
Edit add: I'm gonna add this since it was a main question in Jinx's original post. Pre-war GMG were heavily influenced by Samura and were supporters of that family. Such ships as the original Kamome design (which we can only specualte as current one is modified), Ku Explorer, Drones, Bumbles etc... were all from Samura. Since Kusari covertly supported GMG in the 80 Year War, not only through the shelter Honshu provided but arms and supplies as we are burdened with a tax for this. I might even imagine the original GMG bomber had a Kusari feel to it as I wouldn't be surprised if, in those early years, Samura had a part in it's original design. Since then the GMG bomber has undergone generation after generation of changes and improvements (hoping they won't take a step backwards either ;)similar in retrospect as the Kamome. GMG learned it's ship knowledge by tinkering with others for centuries always trying to improve and modify them to meet the environmental conditions we face.
I personally think that the line of ships used by the Kadesh of Homeworld is a good mold for any future GMG ships... mostly since they're designed to fill the same functions, and the current HF kind of reminds you of the light Kadesh fighter.
The ship offered by Jinx, however, is just a Kusari ship with a white paint job. Yeah.

I believe the bomber that was used in the war with Rheinland was Taiidan, am I correct?.
Anyway, here's a part from Kaichou infocard.
Quote:The predecessor of this bomber, a hastily built vessel that rode the development wave that was the imminent threat of what would result in the invasion of Sigma-13 by the Rheinland Military, was a vessel born of pure functionality and need of purpose over the usual artistic lines of the Kusari craft.
And I believe the GMG should stick to that functionality over the artistic lines.
