A most familiar face would appear on the screen, as the video feed kicks in. One would notice the man appearing on the screen would wear an eyepatch over his left eye
Good day there.
This is Ramirez, Leonardo Ramirez. I certainly do hope that you review this particular application, Jameson. If you do, I'm sure that you remember who I am. If you don't, that would be most tragic, but I don't think you did.
I'm sure you're asking yourself why I even bother talking to you, it's simple. After I've left the Shadow Outcast Brigade, or the Blue Lotus Syndicate, call it as you wish, I've been leaving the Maltese Nation due to family reasons. I'm not sure, or neither do I care what you think about it, call it traitorous, or backstabbing. I say it's neither. I've been serving the Nation for my whole life, and never, not even after I left it I've been disappointing it.
I don't know if it's really necessary to state all of my personal informations, but one thing is certain, and this, you know, Jameson, I am capable to defend my Nation come whatever may. I've been flying for the Syndicate as an escort pilot for our smuggling vessels. I don't know what your naval standards are, but I'm sure I match up, if not even out-match your standards.
I'm ready to serve under your flag, Jameson. I'm ready for getting along with you in particular, let the past be the past. That would be all.
If you require more personal information, however, let me know, I can provide them if necessary.
The video feed would cease, shutting down entirely

OOC Stuff:
1) Why the 101st Outcast Guard?
Simple, after months I've decided to bring my first character back to life, that would be Leo Ramirez. By making him return to the Maltese Nation, and joining the 101st, his story would develope logically, and with it my roleplay.
2) What are two things that you enjoy doing in real-life besides playing freelancer?
I'm guitarist, I write music as well. I read much stuff about history, since it's interesting to me in particular, especially the feudal time of Japan. I also play lots of other games, so gaming in general is another big hobby of mine. In the sports department, I'm riding mountain-bike, play basketball and so on. Think that's enough.
3) What would the last sentence of your autobiography be?
I am who I am.
4) If you could be a fictional character (from a film, book, comic, etc...), who would it be, and why?
Trent.

Senor Kunka, we have decided you have the potential to be Ghost material. This largely depends on you. If you learn our ways well you will be a credit to the Nacion. If you do not you will meet your mother sooner than expected. You are accepted as a recruit; report to Corsica Sanctum for outfitting.
Senor Fletch, you are accepted as a recruit in the Ghosts. You want to kill Corsairs, we want to kill Corsairs. I have also heard whispers of you inquiring about our capital vessels. As our resources are limited, we do not permit someone to transfer to command of a warship until they have some time under their belt. Serve us well, and you may one day be one of those privileged individuals. Until then, report to Corsica to outfit your fighter.
Senor....HellRaiser? I assume that is a pseudonym. You are accepted as a recruit in the 101st. Before you sign up know that we have an...understanding with the Phantoms. As our systems are so close together, we try to leave each other be. That means no going after them unless ordered. If this is a problem, you would be better off elsewhere. If this is acceptable report to Corsica. Also, we do not use pseudonyms in the Maltese Navy. We are the military, not a group of rabble; we will require you to use your name.
Senor Carvalas, I have seen you hauling Orange in your merchant vessel. You show an eagerness to learn the correct ways of doing things; that is good. Being a Ghost is about more than just shooting things. We need people who think even more. Also, if you are not adverse to putting your vessel into harms way, we could perhaps use it for....resource acquisition. Report to Corsica for fighter outfitting.
Senor Ramirez, you are accepted into the Ghosts of Razgriz. Due to your extensive past history of serving the Nacion, you are accepted into our ranks at the level of Lieutenant. Welcome.
All applicants should read the public information regarding the Nacion. It is out of date but better than nothing. It is up to you how much you learn. If you have questions, ask us. We will not accept ignorance as an excuse. We are happy to help you, but it is up to you to avail yourself of that help.
Make sure your vessels follow our naming protocol and make sure they are up to Guard standards ASAP.
Good evening High Command. My name is Thrawn. Having flown for the Outcasts a number of years, and experiencing the command of a Maltese Naval Ship, I wish to join the first line of defense for our Nation.
My father was a captain of a pirate train, tasked with the exchange of goods across the houses, primarily Liberty. He traded the usual commodities; Cardamine and slaves. Having alternate interest, my mother was a chemist specializing in the enrichment of Cardamine.
I was born in 785 A.S. on planet Malta. I often assisted my mother in the laboratory while she perfected the art of Cardamine manufacturing. Around 800 A.S. my father brought back news from Liberty that the Spirits had begun infiltrating the 'higher ups' in all sectors of government. My mother began a side experiment to duplicate the shielding on board Spirit vessels, traditionally known as a veil.
On the eve of my 16th birthday, my mother was working late, as she had been doing all week, I brought her dinner. Upon walking into her lab I witnessed my mother laboring over a pool of Liquid Cardamine, which helps in formation of Spirit essence. Seeing my arrival, she began lowering the platform upon which she stood, to greet me. While descending, the platform's levitation field flickered and tipped, sending her into the vat containing the Liquid Cardamine and various other chemicals. I immediately dropped the food and dove into the vat to try and pull her out. While entering, a burning sensation overtook my body and burned my eyes. With much pain and strife I was able to retrieve my mothers body. The amount of time inside the vat caused skin degradation that left her organs exposed to so much chemicals that before I was able to reach her she was gone.
The last thing I remembered, after pulling her out, was the sound of the door opening behind me, than all was black. Waking up four days later in the hospital, the physicians informed me that the condition of my body was irreversible and unique. I sat up and saw, in a mirror, a blue figure with eyes that burned like the blood in my veins.
During the course of these events, my father was killed near Zone 21 in the New York system. The black box stated that my father issued an order to satisfy his curiosity about the goings on near said area. When the patrols detected his vessel they executed their standing orders and eliminated his vessel.
Being bereft of parents and having a unique characteristics, I decided to become a tactical adviser to my Nation's navy. But first, I had to graduate from the Maltese Naval Academy. The money my father had accumulated during his trade runs left me with enough credits to complete the required courses and then take some more to further my tactical knowledge. I worked and studied for hours, excelling in tactics of warfare and completing Capitol Ship Command simulations on the side, having already completed fighter and gunboat training. I graduated from the Academy with an Honor Degree in Fleet Tactics and a public document published as "The Theory of Offensive Reconnaissance'; which states: 'During the pre-war scouting procedures, the fleet attacking should dispatch three minor assault groups to cover the enemy fleet from their exposed angles (being the sides and back or above them). After reaching scanner range on specific system settings (to prevent noticeable detection by the enemy) the group would report current weapon, armor, scanner, and engine conditions/status. The three groups move in, after reporting, to skirmish. In respective order they will withdraw, and the main fleet approaches swiftly, to attack the enemy on their now exposed front flank.'
The Theory solidified my aspirations and within a few short years, I was granted the command of a Ranseur-Class Dreadnought. I participated in many raids against the Corsairs and defended Malta from all aggression. Although commanding the mighty ship was an incredible honor I resigned my command to further my fighter skills and tactics. I have matured in those areas and now wish to join the Ghosts of Razgriz.

Hola Senor White,
I can't recall having had the pleasure to meet you in person before, however, from what I know about you, you should know quite enough about us outcasts to be suitable for the job. You are hereby accepted into the ranks of the 101st.
As for your ship: of course you are allowed to bring one along you are used to. There is no point in putting you into a new one you can't fly just to lose both you and the new ship right away on your first mission.
If you happen to bring the Barghest along, let me have a look at it once it's here. I've always been curious on the Rogues' skill to spread fear among the traders with what seems to be nothing more but a few rusty buckets and some duct tape.
Signed,
Captain Nero D'Ortona.
P.S: As for your lung you should consider to visit the medical centre in the Belpasso district, not far from the spaceport.
' Wrote:Go play the game, within the given limitations. That is how role play games are played. Not by trying to work around those limitations or whining about them.
Hola, I am Eurico Delgato. It's almost a month when I left for the Liberty in hopes of securing our cardamine supplies. But those bastardos kept using warships and not having a sane wingman led me to no choice but to head home and secure our own soil and space. Ech. Life. You'll never know where it'll take. Either way. I hope my foreign experience will be fine addition to our military strength while fighting back the threats within.
Adios. Hope to hear from You soon.

Quote:1) Why the 101st Outcast Guard?
I want to have a character and motivation to play in major activity places. Also, I think another player understanding what to do is good for the independant players especially in such troublesome regions.
2) What are two things that you enjoy doing in real-life besides playing freelancer? I enjoy having fun and studying biology.
3) What would the last sentence of your
autobiography be?
Probably an unfinished one.
4) If you could be a
fictional character (from a film, book, comic, etc...), who would it be, and why? That's tough. Probably Superman. You know... Flying, having awesome abilities, having only one weakness etc.
Not so long ago, as our story begins, I was a young man - the apple of my fathers eye, knowing it was his virility that produced such a handsome son. I was his pride, his light, his gold - he never raised a hand to me, and sacrificed much for me. I have buried my father, and i remember him with a twinkle in my eye.
I am now a Man - and a Warrior. And i have a Ship worthy of many a maiden's interested eyes!
I am no different then you, my brothers and sisters - we are born, with luck, and we live, with passion, in the hopes that when we die, we birth new stars in the night sky for those we love and leave behind.
Mayhap i know a Father whose son is not the apple of his eye, who is not so fond of such a lout - but in my admonishments of his meager virtues, has grown a spark of something great that could be, in time.
So, i realize - i inherit the best of my father, and not just the greatest gift to be born at all, for the reasons we all know...
I have within the sense, that all are my sons, the apple of my eye, those under my care, who i'd never raise a hand too.
A True Warrior, who fights for his people, would see them all as such. I am such.
And so, amico mio, i come to you, this fraternity of warriors, defenders, and bladesmen, that i might lend my arm, and keep safe all those sons, and daughters, as if they were my very own, as if i was my father.
Sincerely, Your Brother In Arms
-Sebastien "Rojas" Avila
Quote:1) Why the 101st Outcast Guard?
For a couple of reasons - im trying to strengthen my ties to this community, and because i find the Outcasts as faction, interesting - The 101st are the primary military, and my character would find pride in being a part of their ranks - the big reason is for the rp, both exploring the characters unique personality at the forefront of Outcast politics
2) What are two things that you enjoy doing in real-life besides playing freelancer?
pen and paper role playing games are my primary hobby, but i also go shooting, hanging out with friends doing all kinds of things, from going to concerts, to outdoor'sy kinda stuff.
3) What would the last sentence of your autobiography be?
...should we pity a man who lived a hundred lives, one hundred times better then his own?
4) If you could be a fictional character (from a film, book, comic, etc...), who would it be, and why?
wow, tough question - i have no idea. ive never identified closely enough with other peoples written characters as i have with ones ive written myself - although one that i like is Eddie Dean from the Dark Tower Series - a broken heroin addicted man with nothing, where circumstances forge him into a true hero, a leader, and with strong morals, from that he finds the strength he always had. i like that kinda stuff.
