guys, im playin ere for more than 1.5 years, and i never RPed any kind of piratez (all my molly were good boys:D)
all those stuff is intriguing me, but i afraid to meet powertrader who worries about money (and in that case forgets to RP)

And then I would file a rule violation report. I complied with his demands to the letter, and he cannot destroy me under 6.6.

You must be new here. The new cool thing is to be sitting on the lane in a gunboat (so the trader doesn't stand a chance) and demand all cargo. Obviously he can't tractor it all in, he's waiting for a smuggler to show up.
I also find it interesting just how many people get upset when I propose the trader being a jerk, but it's totally fine with those people for the pirate to be a jerk.

Trader being a jerk is cool, look at me, I am IND we are big jerks. But we know how to deal with the consequences when they come up, so we can be Jerks. A trader can be as big a jerk as he wants, just cant complain when the pirate goes harder on him for it.
Pirates are robbing you, most robbers are jerks, thus pirates are kinda supposed to be jerks.

so, should i try or no?
Make a pirate; just don't do it for the money. You can RP so many kinds of pirates. I prefer the suave polite pirate who takes just enough for you to keep coming back. But I would love to see more pirates in general; makes trading more intense, bounty hunters more fun, law enforcement more fun. Do it for the experience.

That would make you a violate 1.1 (I think 1.1 is the don't be a dick rule) and you really think the admins would take that degree of sanction bait?
Random thought...just went out to pirate on my greyhound...
1. First encounter, a firefly. I before I can even make a demand he goes like "pirat! abbandon ship!". he jettisons and destroys his cargo. I attack him, he fights back...after a while he's empty and with some 2-3 % hull. I let him be. Then he sends me 1m and says good fight :D
2. Some OSI guy...a little chat, he donates 500k.
3. A silent mastodon. He attacks me, then runs. I lost him when he took jumpgate, I got stuck in trafic.
4. A silent heron, he kept trying to thrust then went "lolno" at my demand. I attacked him, a hunter attacked me, then my router died <.<
Point is...I'm not gonna make a post on forums claiming that all traders are poor roleplayers. Because ain't true. Depends on the people you run into.

You then did something that gave the pirate a reason to kill you. I'd bet the admins would sanction you for malicious reporting of another player. Go ahead, test the water. I'd like to see how long they ban you from the server for.
So no, obviously, I would not report someone for blowing me up after that.
However, now that I think about it, destroying the cargo certainly seems like the only way for the trader to "win" in that scenario, assuming you're not within range of a base.
Given the choice between:
- Pirate gets all the cargo (trader loses all, and is now stuck in the middle of nowhere with no cargo)
- Pirate gets a blue message and 3k of the cargo (trader loses all, and is back on a planet to continue trading)
- Pirate gets a blue message (trader loses all, and is back on a planet to continue trading)
The trader loses in all of the cases, but at least in the third one the pirate doesn't get anything tangible out of it.
