' Wrote:As far as I'm concerned Sirius credits is a universal currency. In the Freelancer universe, paper and coin based currency don't exist anymore because they've been made redundant by digital currency.
It's hard to compare the value of Sirius credits to modern currency because of possible inflation and market crashes that happens all the time. But I assume 10 credits is comparable to 1 GBP.
Paragraphs next time, please.
that does not seem viable, that would mean you can get a BS for 1000000 GPB, and starflier for mere 1000 GPB, you cant get even a car that is falling apart for that kind of money.
and about inflation, there may have been some but not much between vanilla Freelancer and Disco, as i said, the prices of ships have raised 100-150 %, and although it is considerable, it is not too much when compared to inflation in 21. century, it is the players that grew, world did not shrunk.
Consider the fact that you are doing EXTREMELY dangerous job, if this was real we would all be space dust or slaves or prisoners by now, all of us had their ship blasted at least once, and we are dealing with hostile NPCs and players on daily basis, and that is why we are rely enormously rich by Sirius standards.
I saw you walking down the streat, your eyes, your lips, your nose, everything was so perfect. I started singing "who let the dogs out."
On the contrary, every Sirius Credit will be worth 5 British pounds. For that is the exchange rate the Bank of England will set once I've kidnapped their queen.
"Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson. They will, in fact, calm up."
In my opinion, Sirius Credit has no definite or comparable value in the Discovery mod. Prices for different commodities are balanced to even out player incomes; not made realistic in comparison to the costs of other commodities and items.
The best example is the sale of NPC pilots, which is pretty low as a ransom or bounty for a human being, when you consider that guns often cost 100 to 200 times as much or more.
Well peoples lives are expendable in Sirius these days, but what I really wonder is why everybody is using Sirius Credits when they are different cultures involved, especially when they don't like each other much, or are quarantined like Galia.

inRP that's different money, game mechanic wise, you can make the separation.
also, inRP council solved that problem with merging the two banks as they are very similar. system and the way they act-wise.

Why do you think they give a damn about the old bat?
