Hmm, on the one hand, we shouldn't understand the Nomads anyway, so their background warrants a no-rp basis in the server.

On the other hand, it will make the Nomads a 'pew-pew' only faction, and lose what credibility they may or may not have. I wouldn't know.

Its a difficult balance.

No rewards are worth having oneself deprived of diplomatic/storyline freedoms as well as the ability to simply tell unwanted people to go away.

If you think that -you- own the faction, maybe you should make your own mod and server and play there. As long as there is content on Discovery GC 24/7, it should be available to everyone. By content I mean Faction reps, ships and bases. Keepers will always make a special case due to their nature, that cannot be balanced for broad use.

But I can also point out that is a pleasure to fight Full nomad blaster Katana with Inferno cannon- 3 different kind of overpowered technology combined....
About the Osiris- frankly I dont know nor I care since everybody can buy it, it is not restricted for bunch of people so it is np.

I am a huge Order player. I do not care.

I do not see any other Order players griping about said loadouts.

But.

If its restricted and OP, its a problem, but if it is free to buy it is not a problem?

It is the choice of the Das Wilde players to use full nomnom guns. Whine to them, and stop taking shots at Akura.

If you hate, their ganking, oh well. I watched seven Order/Corsair Osirises gank three Marduks and three, fighters. So they don't care. I refused to join the fray FYI.

And I love the fact that it seems every single problen that is ever brought up against the Das Wilde and Isiejin is their tech.

People want the Nomads to be evil and shoot everything, but they also want the Nomads to have the same tech as everyone else and follow the same standards as everyone else. This is why Nomad Talk was invented.

You can't make a faction hostile to every other faction in the mod and give them normal tech either, this is the reason the Keepers are too small and mostly dead and inactive, no one can be bothered to play them when everyone shoots at you on sight and the tech is probably getting nerfed next version.

Actually, the Keepers can be opened for use, I came up with a perfectly reasonable and possible solution, without needing a new mod update, but the the Keepers weren't having it.

This thread isn't about balance, it's about NPC factions that are solely represented by the player factions, without room for individual players.

There is room for independant Nomads actually. It could work, and it'd be a lot of fun.

I thought of a better idea than that, but no one seemed too interested.
