Well, as some of you maybe know, I was offered the "interesting" job of T23 mining ops coordinator. So in order to take a look at things, I hopped today on cousin Alex's Heg and joined him on his mining run. Here's what happened:
1. Name and vessel type - IMG|Alex.Vale[M], IMG|Alex.Vale - both Hegemons
2. Mining location - T23, northern niobium field
3. Material mined - niobium ore, two Hegemon cargo holds
4. Escorts hired - none this time
5. Hostiles encountered - We filled our first hold, and were just seconds on our way to Java, when a very interesting ship appeared on the scanners - Senor Sebastian Rodriguez of the Mandalorian Mercs. Knowing the fellas' deep love for IMG, Alex immediately changed course to T39 Jump Hole. We made it clear, and were on our way to Jakarta, when Senor Rodriguez decided to follow us in our own guard system./guncam proofshots attached here - 12 /
Lucky for us, we had some running space, and Alex is quite the hand with a Heg in asteroids, so we made it clear to Jakarta, from where I immediately called Herbert Vale /my oldest brother/ and advised him to wake up the Dry.Run and see to the nozy mandalorian.
I am sorry to say that none of our regular T39 patrols were on site to assist us - again. Something should be done about that, really. I do like the service in Jakarta infirmary, but enough is enough.
After waiting for Herbert to give us the clear, we went back to Java and filled Alex's second Heg. No adventures this time.
6. Any other interesting encounter or event - Herb had a chat with a Junker lad, he says, but I will let him do the paperwork on that 'grins wildly'.
Conclusions made:
1.It becomes more and more dangerous to mine in Tau 23 system. Escort system for the miner ops should be made first priority.
Also, Based on my previous observations:
2. Second priority should be the reviving of the convoys to Rheinland, and reestablishing our connections with foreign shippers. Lads are complaining that their ore stays at Java with no way to sell it. Our Gallic friends seem to prefer Dublin lately, and less and less other ships come for our niobium.
3. A lot of our lads hereabouts prefer to work independent, and to deal on a personal basis with haulers they choose. Some of that is due to higher profit, but there's also the lack of ready and easily acesible storage space in T23 - the barge in T39 is not comfortable to everybody. I have an idea about that, but here's not the place to talk about it.
4. In connection to point 1 - in the long run we must increase our patrols in T39 both in numbers and strength. It is supposed to be a safe heaven for our lads, but now that big asteroid field looks to me more like a trap for Hegemons. Several more weapon platforms at the Jump Hole won't be in excces too, I think.

1. Name and vessel type IMG|Dry.Run - Hydra class gunboat
2. Area of operation - T23 /Java station-Niobium mining fields/
3. Ships escorted - none
4. Hostiles encountered - Well, I was enjoying my first morning coffee cup, when a distress signal came from Jakarta - it seemed that a mandalorian fella - Sebastian somebody - tried to catch one of our miners in T39 and did not quite succeed. I woke the crew and we launched from Java. By that time the aforementioned Sebastian was already around the station. The sight of our tin can apparently was not to his liking, as he claimed not to be in the mood for busting a miner - his words, not mine, he he. As he was in a faster ship, I did not try to pursue... maybe I should have...wasn't quite awake anyway.
One other ship was present at the time - the Silver.Reaver!. Knowing our somewhat strange relationship as of late, I did not ask the lady for assistance, fearing the coin might flip the opposite way.
5. Casualties on both sides - none - no fight occured
6. Any other interesting encounter or event - After the Mercs went on their way, a Junker salvage frigate by the name of The_Raven's_D'light approached Java. The fella boasted quite proudly of being a cardamine smuggler of some succsess, but as he was not carrying any at the time, I let him hang around. We had an interesting chat, me trying to persuade him to change his trade from druggs smuggling to ore hauling, and him boasting about his cardi smuggling Barge/?!!!?/, which by the way he said was laying around engines offline somewhere in the T23 asteroid fields /maybe a recon mission is not out of the order here"grins"/.
After our talk I made a patrol run of the fields - nobody there, no pirates, no miners. First is good, second though - not so much.

Greetings gentlemen, let me introduce myself first, my name's George Ashbry, I recently applied for a job at IMG and today was my first day as a recruit.
In Dublin I received a sturdy Dromedary called IMG|Alpha-3[R] onboard the Hood, and I was contacted by mister Peter Banks to join in a convoy to Detroit. I've got filled up with gold ore, and we left: 3 transports (Peter Banks, Dosu Maru) and Vernon Vale as a scout. In Magellan we received rumors of a rogue in California. Vernon encountered the rogue called "Showtime" and alerted the transport convoy so that we remained in safety. Then an LNS ship, the Siberia, arrived on scene and secured the trade lane, so we moved onwards to Detroit where we got joined up by an escort pilot: Miles Quaritch. After unloading the ore we loaded up with luxury consumer goods at Manhattan, and headed for Edinburgh. The Dosu Maru decided to stay at Manhattan, so now we where 2 transports (Banks and I) and 2 escorts (Vernon and Miles). Miles decided to dock at FP4. We were safe for the rest of the journey all the way to Shetland, and back to the Hood.

Later on I joined mister Brian.O'Neilly, an amusing former MMC pilot and mister Vernon Vale for a mining run. We headed into the ore field, and the lads started mining immediately. It was not hard to fill my Dromedary's cargo-hold of just 650 units, so we were done quite fast. During this op we encountered a zoner whale passing nearby and an unknown contact called "Desperado", but we had no trouble at all. Now I'm back aboard the Hood and waiting for my next assignment from the guild.

That would be all for now,
Cheers to all,

::Subject-3rd report as a recruit!::
Hello again gentlemen! I'm reporting in a successful trade run from Hood to Detroid and back with a full load of gold ore aboard the IMG|Alpha-3[R] Dromedary. I received the ore from miners Brian O'Neilly and Vernon Vale and was waiting to go sell it. Luckily I met the pilot of a Pytho bomber called "The Hammer", and set out towards Liberty. On the way we were told by a BAF fleet that Magellan was safe at the moment, and then in Magellan I met a bounty hunter which said that California would be clear as well. Still, The Hammer provided excellent protection, so there was not really much to worry about. After unloading the ore at Detroit, I filled up with luxury consumer goods and headed back towards Edinburgh. In Magellan, on the way to the Leeds jump hole we encountered a massive fleet of Convoy transports and escorts... that was quite a sight, and a relief, knowing that the path behind them was surely secure! Now I'm safely back at the Hood, waiting for the head department to decide whether I'm up to the tasks provided by the IMG. Meanwhile I'm scrubbing out this Dromedary to give it to the following recruit. It was nice to pilot this craft, it's taken good care of.

Well that would be it, hope I performed accordingly, as a recruit!
My respect for all the hard working IMG crew!

Greetings
This is Susan Rowlett again ! I have some things to report. The Kiretsu incident was already identified as urgent and forwarded to the higher ups. However, I will write some stuff about it here as well.
We were making a scheduled convoy filled up with Niobium ore to Planet New Berlin. Fortunately everything went perfect and we unloaded our cargo before we got High Temperature Alloy for the way back. I was acting as the advanced scout so I was the first who encountered a Kiretsu on a bomber class vessel waiting for us in the Sigma-13 Gate in the Honsu System.
Of course I quickly warned the convoy about the threat and it assembled near Naha, while the second of the 3 escorts, Polycide, jumped to my position as well. I asked her to let us pass through and the following chat took place: •••••••
As you can see they forbid us to enter Kusari space. Unfortunately we couldn't contact any law enforcers to keep the Kiretsu busy while at the same time some silent Blood Dragons came as well, probably looking for the transports too. I didn't want to escalate things by opening fire so I asked the transports to move to Sigma-19 since the Honsu jump hole was guarded by another Kiretsu. Anyway.. in the end things didn't go well, I was hunted by 2 Blood Dragon fighters and made an emergency dock in Akita Border Station while the inexperience of the transports was also crucial for the outcome.
I went a trip in Coronado, Planet Pecos and I found a junker moving to Baffin filled up probably with slaves. It belonged to a junker group with the tag SW). More information: •••
We are recently having a gallic girl as a regular visitor in the Taus from a group known as Unione Corse. Well, I made her taste my SNAC some days ago but she keeps insisting and visits us. I am not really sure what we did to her and she is so unfriendly... poof
Today, the Old Rock members made a run to Omega-54 where we unloaded Ship Hull Panels and bought Blood Diamonds from Freital. The diamonds were sold in Planet New London. It was overall a nice trip but risky as well. Exactly what Old Rock is looking for !! Here is another one. In this one we had a Mandalorian scum in front of Planet New London. Fortunately he left so were able to unload the cargo !!
