However, the problem with something like this is that someone will be killed in it and scream "Why add ships that can't fight!?" and 21 pages later, they get removed in lieu of something more Freelancerish. Another problem is the same as that of the Yacht. What good is a ship that is 71,000,000 credits that holds less cargo than comparably priced ships and is worse at fighting? Only a minority of people would actually fly these.
Honestly, I loved Starlancer and my Junker would definitely buy a replica Patriot or Mirage. Joys to fly and menaces to torpedo bombers for sectors around (except Gamma Wing of course;)), but I think the chances of them being added are minimal.
I was imagining them in separate system like Conn. they would be protected by server rules there, only fighting amongst themselves, others may come to watch but not interfeer, unless some of those ships wants to challenge them(read commit suicide), exiting that system is at their own responsibility.
I saw you walking down the streat, your eyes, your lips, your nose, everything was so perfect. I started singing "who let the dogs out."

Because there are museums and private collectors that collect these things. Of course the House Navies wouldn't use them, doesn't mean that private buyers wouldn't want their own piece of history. :/

Yeah, but would people actually use the Lance of Longinus to cut loose threads? Or the Ark of the Covenant as an end table?
Would some one really be dumb enough to take a Fokkers Triplane into combat as a mercenary? You put museum pieces in museums. Not take them out for walkies.

People keep ignoring the basis of this idea, it is like they want to dispute this idea no matter what, as i said COUNTLESS times in this thread, they are NOT for combat, they are for showing.

Then why put them in the damn game? That's like a Zoner whale. Only without the cargo capacity. So people would fly art for what? No gain? Would you honestly have fun flying around in a Starlancer ship and be able to do nothing?! I know I wouldn't.

I would, and i think there are more of us, read the post from the biggining please, the gain would be that they could enter contests with other flayers of those ships, they would be practicaly free, since you could buy any ship with any loadout.

It's like those old car shows. Some people just like being able to flaunt rare collectors' items.:P
