Wells lets out a quiet breath. This is where things started to get a little more complicated.
"A discount.. I presume that you don't use the word as a discounted interest rate in general. From the numbers which have been laid out and presented to you, the time between each payment has had an extension. Your economy needs it. That is something we'd love to work with. Although the final amount in the end, will be more or less what a 'proper' loan will look like. There are some things we just cannot do as we have to keep ourselves afloat along with all of the operations we fund as a banking company.
The ban of our cooperation has been lifted under the promise that we don't hold any more dealings with them. We do not plan on that as we promised your government. You already seem rather jumpy enough, as none of our assets were returned, although thankfully we have enough allowances to work with you for this project here.
We'd be able to help you under the longer return dates, correct. A project of that size would be something wonderful that fits into our budget quite well right now, while giving you the necessary funds needed to continue your work."
"That's good to hear. I understand your...objections. Bonn will be given back with time, we will do our best to make it happen, my Interspace ally. With such assurances from your side, I'm sure formal autodock blockade will be just a formality for you, yes?"
After a brief pause, Rheinlander continued:
"Longer return dates sounds good, it'd be perfect if first payment date would come after initial projects start bringing back invested funds. Increased diamond export, for example. We might think on Omega-7 after that is finished, it's another interesting system we have plans for, in "soon future."
Mr Wells looks intrigued as he listens to Mittermeier, as he is handed a note by one of his assistants.
"Yes indeed I believe those would be fairly reasonable terms. Omega-7 has quite a mixture of companies within it as well, yourselves along with Kruger and IMG. With solid cobalt export prices this seems like a financially beneficial approach to the Omega Region."
He reads the note to himself for a brief moment, and turns his head back to Mittermeier.
"If you don't mind I would also like to inquire about your involvement in the aluminum ore market? My trade advisers have sent word that Mr. Mercana Mishi Shirou has a growing interest in your facilities in Munich. When Interspace Commerce finally makes the return into Rheinland, we hope you would be interested in setting up an export contract for that trade good as well. Mr. Shirou wishes to diversify the markets our organization is involved with and I personally believe it would be a mutually beneficial contract if pursued. We hope that the Rheinland authorities will lift the embargo against our company with the assurance that Interspace Commerce will have no business with the Red Hessians in the future. Mr. Shirou is quite adamant about following all House Laws and Regulations, including Rheinland House Law. The head of our Security Division, Mr. Mitsuo Kato can also assure that our escort detail will enforce the trade ban on any and all Red Hessian exports, including Blood Diamonds. Mr. Shirou would much prefer getting involved with the uncut diamond trade, and improving the infrastructure of the Omega region in general is sure to bring great prosperity to us all."
He smiles and takes a drink of water, awaiting their reactions.
