Alise rose her eye brows from what Mary said, she was suprised by this statement. Mary never appeared to her as someone that would actively search for peace with anyone."I will refrain from voting on this matter. Logically due to our ceasefire with the Coalition, one with the Hessians would not be the worst thing. Just on a side note I had not had many reports about Hessians in Hamburg, there are more Bundies here than socialists."She shrugged, crossing her arms in fornt of her chest. Elisabeth leaned in and whispered something into her ear. Alise replied with a nod as soon as she finished. Both of them focused their attention back on Mary.
"Hm like what I thought Mary... as much as I love to see those Liberty Navy Rookies burning around Pacificas Lawn I would recommend to focus for now on our little problems in Rheinland. We can´t afford it, to lose even more slacking dock workers here... hehe." He takes a sip from his Coffee and focuses the attention on Mary with a kinda bored but also exhausted look on his face...
"i think we shouldn´t overdo it with helping our separatist friends there, Harmony already proved us enough times that they can make it on their own in the current scenario..."
"On the other hand... wouldn´t it get in our way with your SC Pals in the Omegas if we start to hunt down Hessians in Rheinland again? For now we could make sure to get rid of the last Bundies they are weakened for now... I think Leipheim would like it to start some more raids in Frankfurt maybe hehe..." He puts his "it´s free real estate" grin on his face"
Assuming it's his turn to speak, he puts his pen aside and looks towards the others.
"May I?"
Instead of waiting for an answer, he stands up and starts.
"The conflict has left a scar on our economy. Our funds are lower and lower every day, our stockpiles are thinner and the morale is low. Our men are tired. We're fighting on multiple fronts with no resolve in sight. Hell, a conflict with the Hessen is the one that never should have started in the first place."
He pauses for a moment, sighing.
"But will it make a change? I'm not certain. The moment Corsairs hear about this, our alliance will crumble. A treacherous act they will certainly react on. Transports with Artifacts will stop coming and hostilities will slowly emerge. The moment we cease our conflict in the Rheinland core, we'll start another one in Sigmas."
Mary takes a sip and then throws the bottle away when Max mentions the Corsairs.
"Corsairs ?! I don't give a damn about them, we supplied thousands of tonns of Premium Scrap for them and smuggled Relics. And what did we got ? Nothing ! That isn't a alliance that is complete crap. And with the help of the Coalition the and the Hessen the Corsairs can't do anything. Bundschuhs, they still are a Thing ? We have to Focus on Rheinland and we already have things to do in the Sigmas, like GMG. As for Harmony, we have 2 options, talk with them or get rid of them. And don't forgett these Militants in Bering. But for the Hessen, they probably want a damn tonn of money or something else if we go for a ceasefire or even more. So we need to deliver more Salvage to Alpha.
"You know my opinion of the Corsairs. That our so called 'alliance' will suffer through this act is, generally spoken, of very little concern for me. I think Schilder, you and me are the ones which are the furthest away from them anyways. Leipheim would be the cell which is the closest to them."Alise´s gaze wandered to the left, her green eyes focusing onto Gneisenau. He was the youngest of all the people present, 22 years old at tops. To her he did not make a very serious impression something she neither approved nor would condemn him for. It was merely something that made conversations with him always a mixed bag."I would like to hear Gneisenau´s thoughts about this and about Harmony? For now it would be the best to try to work out some agreement but that is up to Schilder, he has to share a system with them"
"Hm, in this case I would like that we focus on the GMG War. The Case with the Corsairs, I think we should just ignore them maybe, we don´t need to speak with them just hold them as a backup for a case, I don´t like to get a open flank from Omicron Xi. Problem is that the Outcasts are still a bit more faraway, so we would get cut off in an emergency situation if there are hostilities between us and the Corsairs, also they are still a capable threat so I hope that the Outcasts are really ready to help in dangerous times..."
"I personally think with a co-operation with the Outcasts a large offensive in the Sigmas is possible, we have also keep in mind that our relations with the Hogosha on the northern smuggling cartels will shrink maybe... It is better to use all our forces to concentrate one thing for now but do it more effectively than just spreading forces again..."
He takes his last sip from his coffee and sits down waiting for a reply...
