Seems like Im the only one who would like to see more NPCs and specially stronger ones... Im still shocked on how weak the Nomads NPCs are. Also NPCs scanning for contraband wouldn't bother me at all. But I agree that some systems are just filled with NPCs disrupting trade lanes makes it rather annoying to get from point A to point B, but I like it hardcore. I'm glad they reduced the amount of missiles/cruise disruptor they fire tho. That was a bit overkill in Vanilla FL. Overall I think they should make Nomads stronger a bit. Feels weird to be able to take them down so easily. Maybe a couple of other factions too like the Core, the Order, etc. I still enjoy the game as it is currently, but I would really like if a few systems were much more dangerous to go.

I still find it stupidly hilarious that a snub can do this without being damaged, much less destroyed.
For exact that reason, since nobody was able to fix baloon effect , i proposed that snubs take damage when hit capital ships in amount that will insta kill NPC (and prevent them to cause capital ship fliping ) , but will alowe player snub with any armour to survive but i guess it is better to leave ridiculus effect in game then to even test possible solutions...

As someone playing capital ships and snubs more or less equally i can double that, it would be nice it some workaround would be found to avoid awkward scenarios where a cap fight is decided by a single unpredictable factor in form of a bystranding NPCs that flip you upside down.
Peace, being the distant dream it is, comes inevitably, and goes hand in hand with justice.
Cursed be the war.

and just how in the bloody blue ***** do you suggest that happen
CD spamming NPCs are annoying, they're annoying when they distrupt every other tradelane and when they appear everywhere you go. But in dangerous places, near hostile bases and in unexplored systems the NPC should be tougher. Thus the areas with dangerous NPCs should be predictable (to an extent) and limited to appropriate locations.
Atmosphere is an immportant part of Freelancer and quite a bit has been lost not only due to the fact that we've been playing the same game for years.
Every time 'dangerous' NPCs have been implemented they have negatively affected the gameplay and roleplay environment and caused a headache for players.
