Corsair Expansion?

What would really help the Corsairs, though, would be the removal of the exceedingly silly Lisburn Rock. It's right in the middle of Corsair patrol paths in a system with no Mollies. How much sillier can you get!?

Well except the fact that Cambridge is Molly Infested and one of the favorite places to pirate as Molly and that our Hessian and SCRA allys are one jump away,not to mention that here is Omega 5 Listed- actually Mollys and Hessians work together in RP vs Corsairs in O5- even on small scale since Mollys in RP does not have so many ships/pilots to deploy whole battle squadron there.
I would agree with you that Lisburn Rock shall fall but this could only happen if Corsairs remove the hessians in Omega 5- now they actually loose there in RP and fight defensive war. Cambridge is stalemate at the moment for all involved parties, Mollys does not have the strength and the numbers to attack, they are defending mostly, Corsairs does have the strength to attack but if they do so the Hessians would back-stab them really hard in Omega 5, BAF have Gallics so they are defending only.
As far as I know the Corsairs got nice hit with Casablanca base. So I guess in RP after taking Casablanca the corsair main force would strike in Dublin using Omega 49 or will strike in Omega 5 to reinforce Cadiz.

Henri Corsairs are not in any way weak- they got just too many enemies and most of their enemies are allies against them. Take situation in Omega 3 for example- Molly ship, BAF ship and Corsair ship- if the corsair is not there it is likely that Molly and BAF would fight, at the Moment when the Corsair is there both Molly and BAF would shoot him first, and they probably will get help from let say Hessian or SCRA or any cooperate escort around.

when corsairs expand and take over planet cambridge or stuttgart - what then? when they finally have food to feast on? they would defend against entire fleets of military ships inside enemy territory. how long do you think it would last?

This is really relative question. In Cambridge case if BAF decides that Corsairs are priority 1 then it would last 1-2 weeks maximum, but if they have other priorities you got the Belfast case:
