I didn't complain about this before, I just took it as a part of the game. but it bugs me anyway. But I can handle that, since I mostly stick to Liberty, Bretonia or the border worlds. And because I have developped a certain specialization in killing bounty hunter fighters in the past few years, often codenames as 'fishing'. I just went on, blasting the NPC's that I can. That is why you won't see me in Kusari space at all. Or just passing through. I don't understand the locals, and the I somehow don't like Kusari space itself. I'm not getting the warm feeling I'm used to in my favourite places, like Liberty.
Nevertheless, this topic leaves a question: is this supposed to be a game, or a simulation, to make things real? I vote for the game. We're supposed to have fun, not to have another annoying life behind the computer screen. The modders always do a lot of hard work, and it was worth it. But I bet they all know that it can never be perfect.
If you return some day, call me and I might whisper some of my tips and tricks to you. I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm quite capable of blasting the buzzing little LPI patriots, Xeno and Ageira starfliers and little fishy Piranhas...
The legionnaires are not a frequent target of mine, so probably I'm just not used to them ... they are a pain. Or they're uber pilots, decide yourself.
The freelancers are another case. I've never seen a human-controlled Stiletto to survive that kind of firepower VHF's or gunboats are throwing at it. I can't even fly it like that myself, even though I'd blast ehole packs of hammerheads with the stiletto's guns and a torpedo launcher.
Some things aren't shifted only from playful/playable to real, but they are way past it. That would be the main issue, in my opinion.
