Date: 6 June 819 System: Koeln Location: Heisenberg, in D. Campbell's Research Lab. Topic: Experiment failure?
This is Professor David Campbell, I've found that diary of Lee del Sol Verde, in one of his cape's bags. You may be wondering, why I'm writing into it... but something dramatically happened this evening, and it needs to be explained. Best would be if I start from the beginning:
As agreed, I met Lee this evening at my private research laboratory on Heisenberg. For the last step of my experiment, I needed his person. I told him, why I actually choose him, and not somebody else. But first - what was that "experiment" about? I'll explain it here in short:
The mindshare. My aim was it to make it possible for humans, to "use" the mindshare. To control it. But what is "the mindshare"? Well, in general, it's an advanced telepathic link that binds the Nomads. I guess everyone, who grew up in the Omicrons will know about those aliens. And that leads me to the fact, that I've choosen Lee, to gain that ability. He got born on Planet Malta, just a stone's throw away from the Nomads home systems. People who grew up in that part of the Omicrons stay under the daily influence of "telepathic waves". Rumors say, that even a few maltese children, had the gift to listen to those "voices", understanding them. Cardamine increased that skill. But people who were able to use that gift, were often declared as mentally disabled, since they weren't able to control the voices in their head. Many of them went even suicide.
There would have been so much potential in using the mindshare. Not only to communicate with the Nomads, also for use under humans. Imagine it. It would change everything. But still, all the attempts to get access to that skill, failed.
But this time, I've been convinced, that it'll work. My calculations showed no doubts.

However, back to what actually happened: I lead Lee through my laboratory, explaining him how the experiment will work, and what the aim was. To my astonishment, he agreed on it, without any questions. I don't know if he just haven't been aware of the danger, or if I convinced him.
To prevent any problems, I am not going to refer to the procedure's cycle. It shall remain secret.
I asked Lee to put his clothes off and shave himself completely. Afterwards I made some testings on him, checking his health and blood parameter. There were every indication that he suits to the experiment. So far so good. I connected him to several vital devices, which will make it possible to put him into an artificial coma. In a final step, I helped him to get into the experimental tank, which was filled with a blue liquid (whose mixture I won't explain now).
The experimental tank.
Then I started the test. Everything seemed to work well. The results were all positive. All the signs were that the experiment has been successful. But then, something unexpected happened...
Lee didn't woke up from the artificial coma!
He's still alive. His vital parts were working better than ever.
