You want freedm of RP, but do you want the consequences? Whats the LN going to say to his superiors? I let that rogue fly away because I have a crush on her? Whats the Rogue going to say to the many unlawful witnesses? I was thinking about joining hi- BLAM.
I feel the need to comment on this, since it regards my character. Hi. I'm the [LN] you so desperately wanted to bluemsg.
As Widow said, this is an in-depth, ongoing RP that you stumbled into the middle of. In fact, when we initially met at Manhattan, the situation was very tense. I nearly went after her with intent to apprehend. However, as the RP developed, the situation cooled down, and ships from both sides who wanted to start a fight were talked down.
I should also note that a member of LN high command, LolRawr, was also present for the majority of the encounter on her LN character. My character's superiors are very much aware of the situation and I had her support for not engaging Pita that night.
So yes, of course we are aware of the potential consequences of this interaction, both IC and OOC. Sure, there was nothing in the rules stopping someone such as yourself from coming in there, dropping an engagement message, and opening up (which is essentially what you did the second time) but I'd like to think that there could exist an OOC sense of awareness and respect for players who are obviously involved in an RP interaction. Perhaps in the future you could spend some time trying to learn about what was actually going on and find a way to involve your character. Again, nobody says you have to, but it's the kind of mutual respect that a good community is built upon.
Edit: As an aside, I just want to say that I've thoroughly enjoyed my RP interactions with all of the LR- ships I've run across recently. I'm thrilled that you guys are so open to participating in my little storyline.
