whats up! my name real name is jay. ive been interested in joining the corsairs for awhile, and ive now gotten around to finally posting in this thread. =P anyways, the characters name is gabriel. he is 22, and was born a corsair, but just hasnt joined any groups per se. he has always piloted fighters, except for his first ship which was a small freighter (although he is anxious to try his luck with a gunboat some day). he doesnt know what happened to his real parents, as he never knew them. he was raised by a family that was close to his parents, although they were killed before he was old enough for them to tell him what happened to his real parents. he was 12 when they died, and he has been on his own since. he got a job cleaning ships, and after a year of doing that he befriended a corsair pilot, and he began taking lessons from the pilot. soon after he was done with his lessons, he began to make runs with his friend (who smuggled artifacts). when he was 15, they ran into trouble in the form of several outcast pilots on a freeport, where his friend was killed. the outcasts let gabriel go, and he took control of the ship his friend had previously owned. he immediately headed back to crete, where he began to work for a group of corsairs who would pay him to hunt bounty hunters. he soon after had enough money to buy a fighter (which was much better than the small freighter he had been piloting as far as killing bounty hunters). he has been diong that to this day.
