I intended to address that a bit with the notion that the criminality is, in a way, justified by the ideology. You can get away with piracy because it's in the name of maintaining the balance, as you're depriving corporations of funds that they don't intend to use for good.

I must admit I'm a little tired, though. Did you have something more specific in mind when you mention the duality of Gaians? I assume you mean the split between those who just pirate for the hell of it and those that stick to their roots.
