Earlier today, I was moving to interdict Gallic shipping in my Pytho, when an EFL escort, callsign "EFL|Accompangner.1", engaged me whilst the transports escaped. Without warning, a Chrysanthemum IFF, Outcast ID Sabre, callsign "Soulfrost", engaged me in battle, aiding the EFL ship. Eagle of the 49th came to my aid, and together we managed to force the EFL ship to retreat, and destroy the Sabre. Unfortunately, the Gallic merchantman managed to escape in the ensuing skirmish. That is all for today's report.
Signing off.
Good evening, everyone.
As per my assignment, I managed to fulfill my task of conducting reconnaissance behind enemy lines yesterday, particularly in the systems of Omicron Alpha, Omicron-80, and Lorraine. Overall, no major threats, save for ones already known, were detected on the route to Gallia. Peculiarly, I found a base orbiting Planet Carinea in the Siniestre Cloud, which my IFF showed as "Nuevo Amanecer". I am unaware of whether or not such a base is within our databases already, although it never hurts to assume otherwise. The rest of the run went without incidence. Attached are map scans for Omicron Alpha, Omicron-80, and Lorraine.
The next day, as I was patrolling Tau-29, a Shukensha that claimed to have helped the Movers appeared, notably using a cloaking device. After conversation, it was clear that the inhabitant of this ship was an artificial intelligence, that identified itself as "ADAI". I talked to David Tennyson before about his encounter with it, and the description seems to match. It seems to have a personality of sorts, particularly one of extreme pride, and a general disdain for humans, though more from a slight irritation at what "she" believes is our so-called stupidity. When I asked about her motivations, she described her desire to add more parts in order to develop her "Quantum Core", a device the basically acts as her brain, and has the ability to perform actions on other systems. As a precaution, I have done a complete system wipe of any electronic devices on my person, including the shipboard computer. I don't want it taking over anything without me knowing. So far, its intentions are not the most hostile we've encountered. The encounter ended on quite amiable terms. I have attached a log of the events to this report. In the future, it'll be wise to treat it with the utmost caution, and slowly, we may begin to evaluate its usefulness.
