Possible, but like everything in life, a situation like this requires two sides too. You know, making such an atmosphere just for the sake of it is not my style.

You divide the ppl in disco and that is prety bad in my point of view
Good, you seem to been here before I arrived, means you should have already experienced the differences between the quality of roleplay of various players as well as the differences between attitude towards roleplay.
I'm just making that division based on my experiences as well as on a standard I based upon those experiences and my general expectations of roleplay.

And in that point you are wrong.
I am saying I am better in something I put effort into being better at, compared to somebody who cares little about that thing. What is wrong with this point? What is wrong with that I think I rather earned what I was working for than somebody who wasn't?

If you divide ppl you damage disco.
So you detest people actually wanting to get something for their efforts?

That is because I have an image of this world in my mind I based on everything I made contact with, players, ships, interactions, but also stories, infocards, rumors, any other text based stuff and info I can get. The problem appears when things start to clash. Infocards state Roussillon is a secret system, very few know of it. Yet everybody and their mom use it as a passage between the Taus and Newcastle... Nephilim been described as a colony ship, intended to be used as a "mobile freeport", and got two biodomes clearly visible on it's sides to back up that. And then what? We got warring zoners using them as attack vessels (guess what, Zoner ID also prohibits the initiation of combat and lore describes them as people aiming for neutrality). Too many things from the actions of the players clash with what I gathered from text based information, from stories, etc.

This kind of attitude just seems not in the spirit of attracting more players to a server these same people also claim is dying. I think it's a bit of a disservice to assume every new player is an idiot and doesn't know how to RP, and therefore they must prove themselves to some group (be it Admins, Devs, or just old-timers who think they know what RP really is) who then decides whether they can have something or not.
In my opinion, attracting players to a server is done via advertising. The name of the server, Discovery RP 24/7, is one way of doing so. But keeping players here is an other thing. And in my opinion, if players come here, they come to an RP server, and will stay here if they find an RP server. Means, to be able to keep it's new players, the server with it's community need to adhere to it's name. Yes, this is Discovery, and it is 24/7. What we need is the RP.
I've never assumed every new player is an idiot, and been stating otherwise numerous occasions already, I've explained several times before that my issue is not with new players, but with lolwuts. People who are not just unable to RP, but are also unwilling to do so or learn.
I actually find no issue with players proving they are capable to do something they actually came on the server to do. It happens in real life as well as in other games too, you want better stuff, you work for it., shouldn't be too hard if you actually came here to roleplay and enjoy what others roleplay too. Or aren't you here for that?

EDIT: This is what I'm gathering from some posts here.
No dosnt make him elitist but make him a very destructive person for disco who wants to create a fake berlin wall between us and the new players.
Oh, wait, so roleplaying on a roleplay server and forum actually became destructive and harmful to the community? Did I just discriminate new players by writing a few stories and transmissions totally unrelated to them? Holy God, when did that happen?

I dont see any reson for his so called elevation from the new players, and i finde very insulting his arrogance toward them.
Again, new players, new players... read what I wrote to Highland Laddie.
