He sighs and goes to take a seat close enough to talk to her.
"Listen, I'm plenty mad about this whole affair. Don't get me wrong. I'm in a real good position to dislike you a great deal. But . . . I don't know. You were speaking about that pacifism bit, and it sounded like you really meant it. I kinda get the impression that you might not be quite the . . ." *He makes incomprehensible hand gestures, clearly lacking the right word* ". . . that you seem to be when we met before."
His face has a genuinely questioning look on it, and he removes his cap, seeing little need to try to conceal himself anymore.
