In regards the Jinkusu/Nephilim go, it's not a matter of an excuse. In Lore it's already been established that those ships are quite rare. Just like a Nomad Marduk is. You're not supposed to see them all over the place. It's not meant as an excuse, but has been established for many years now.
So it's a matter of suggesting that they either be tied to an official faction ID or SRP'd. Because having any one and their mother who has the credits to buy one and fly it around because they have a shiny new ship shouldn't happen, based on RP/Lore. Again, that's not an excuse, it's just what the ship is. If the lore in vanilla/disco is that a Liberty Carrier is extremely rare, then I'd say only allow LN to have it, or SRP it.
So again, why would it be a bad thing for people to earn getting a ship that is supposed to be rare/not seen often, and should be used for something other than a PVP-centered attitude? When you take something that can be RP'd as multiple different things, but you get it only because of the stats for pewing, then get something else that via lore is meant to be a strictly offensive ship? Otherwise, earn the ability to fly it/use it. Makes you respect and value it more in my opinion.
