Well it finally happened. After a lot of build up through the years and some excellent ideas (some of which were implemented) We finally had ships that had cloaks, jump drives, survey modules and the capability to build bases.
THEN. You limit the ships that can have any or all of the above
You remove missions and commodities from bases.
You have shiny new systems which are empty of all but one base which does not sell anything, has no missions and is just scenery
You have removed (or overpriced) ship equipment for no apparent reason, other than the ability to "leave things alone", IE: Discovery scanner,
You have changed difficulty levels so that it is almost impossible to "rep" fighters in a realistic time frame.
All in the name of "Balance"
I love this game and played it before Discovery was born and the game found its own balance, Your minds are so focused on one aspect of the game you forget the many other players who don't role play and have grown weary of the "furniture being moved around" for no apparent reason (other than R/P) and have left the game. You certainly picked the right time to drive even more away and the main exodus will begin when Star Citizen is fully implemented, You will then have the Freelancer Universe all to yourselves , I suppose you might then sit around your circle and congratulate each other.
