How about the pirate tries not being stupid. Shoot a CD before you talk.

Or, even better, bind your CD to a mouse button. Tap it once or twice while you're typing. If the trader is the kind of guy to cruise to the wall, then you're going to get to kill him anyway. No sense wasting time talking to them.

Come to think of it, there's no sense in wasting time ever talking to a trader or a miner. They're all scum.

Remember, Discovery is a PVP server where you tell the other person you're going to kill them.
