This is the crux of that response. You are free to ignore the wishes of the Official Faction, but doing so may also have nRP cosequences: Example: the Officials could FR5 you and not permit your ships to dock on their bases, or they may put Bounties on your ships, or they declare your ships as rogue and treat them as hostiles.
