...well, 2008, really.
Seems to me the only people with a real concern over being caught in the crosshairs on this already kinda know they are.
If this forces the immature and inconsiderate to check their behavior, even a little, I'm all for it.
Much of my own absence from the server is due to unchecked trolling and my desire to avoid it.
Heck, if this actually gets enforced, I might log in more.
+1 ^ This. And I'll repeat myself:
Quote:Again....rule clarifications like this will affect no-change in players who already play the game fairly and by the rules. It only effects those who try to skirt them or ignore them outright.
That is so naïve, sorry. For that to be true, we'd all have to be the same. What if a person with no real conscience does a whole lot of bad stuff and never feel guilty? What if an overly concerned person does something that isn't really "bad", but feel guilty?
From my personal experience I've done stuff that I thought was fairly "bad", when I checked with an admin he was like "ok?" and didn't see it as anything special; whereas I know people that have been sanctioned and have no clue for what they are really getting sanctioned for and thus feel neither guilt nor remorse.
We are not all the same, so the argument in Papa's quote isn't applicable whatsoever. -1

Oh wow, thanks a lot for judging everone with an opinion different than your own. How so? What have I done wrong?
I think it would have been better if admins had kept this "friendly reminder" as an internal memo instead of creating paranoia and distrust. I bet this will also lead to some of the self-serving and self-important players we've got here feeling like they have a certain right, and they're gonna go (even more) ballistic in PM's and // chat; that's my expectation.
