They came to a small stream that was emptying into the lake that fed from some nearby hills. It was also a nice spot to take a quick break to allow the horses to drink and even top off there own water. Doc climbed down from his horse, leading him to drink.
"I'm not sure which pictures you found in those drawers but if it's who I suspect, I'm not sure that you would believe me," he stated as he offered her a hand in climbing down, "That was the lawful side of my life, a life long past. Wyatt was a good friend. That was a time that most men didn't want to befriend me. Wyatt saw the one thing that mattered most to him and that was loyalty."
When she climbed down off of her horse, he inadvertently found himself close to her again. It was almost perfect. Away from all in a place of peace and tranquility.
