She took his offer of help, and smiled as she climbed down. She enjoyed being close to him and she didn't let his hand go. From what he was saying, it all sounded very believable so far, this confused her. With her free hand she brushed her hair from her eyes and looked across at the water, apart from the horses the only other sound was that of the stream.
She could spend hours here, just relaxing with the sound of the water. What would make it better would be spending that time there with Doc. She looked back up at him, squeezing his hand gently. Partially as reassurance but also to remind herself this was real "You would be surprised in what I would believe, especially if it were you telling the story." She hoped he would explain what he was meaning a little more, but didn't want to push it too much.
She knew he would tell her more when he was ready to - whether that be now or in the future, she wasn't sure. Using her free hand, she brushed her thumb down his cheek "Smile, love... No matter what has... or will happen, right now, life is good."
