Greetings, gentlemen of the High Command.
Yesterday was a glorious day for Liberty, eventhough we lost many ships, not just in the Battle of Leeds, but also earlier within New York. My report includes information about my patrol earlier that day, as well as Information about the Battle of Leeds.
Patrol report
I started my patrol from Fort Severn, Ontario and moved to New York. The way in between has been peaceful so far. Entering New York, I've been called by several traders, about Outcast and Rogue vessels within Colorado. I told them to dock in safety on stations, until we would solve this Problem. With that, I also called reinforcements, without any success. After a while, the Outcast and Rogue fighters and bombers seemed to vanish, but in the same time, three Outcast capital ships and one Rogue capital ship entered New York.
I received a call by several Liberty Navy Captains commanding capital ships, one Navy pilot in an Upholder, as well as two Liberty Security Force pilots in fighter vessels, reported to duty. Unfortunately, the Outcast and Rogue ships already arrived at Norfolk, destroyingLNS-Reenao, before our troops could arrive in time. I ordered the Liberty Navy capital ships to wait Texas Gate in New York, and gathered the Navy Bomber and LSF Fighters at Westpoint.
Once we were ready, I ordered everyone to move toNorfolk. When we arrived at Norfolk, the Outcast and rogue ships were gone, so we continued on Fort Bush. During our way on the tradelane, we encountered a Rogue bomber, which was taken care of LSF Pilot Corran. We kept moving and encountered the Outcast and Rogue ships 10 K before and to the left of Fort Bush.
These ships were identified as "Kirena" Outcast Dreadnought, "Desperado" Rogue Scylla, "Teuacan" Outcast Battleship and "Lick.A.Brick" Outcast Gunship.
Our side included "LNS-Lawrence" Liberty Dreadnought Battleship, "LNS-Discovery" Liberty Atlantis Carrier, "LNS-Incarnate" Liberty Assault Battle Cruiser, "LNS-Port.Stanley" Liberty Assault Battle Cruiser, "Corran" in an Avenger, "Spear.B" in an Upholder, "=LSF=Predator.84" in a Spatial.
Two of three Outcasts engaged us, as well as the Rogue. Lick.A.Brick remained as spectator to the combat. I commanded the capital ships and the bomber to take care of the Kirena first, while the two Fighter ships should move to Fort Bush and Norfolk to ]check[/color if there were hostile reinforcements incoming. Next target was Teuacan, followed by Desperado. We managed to destroy all ships but Lick.A.Brick, who left the the scene towards California, chased after by =LSF=Predator.84 and Corran. Unfortunately we also lost two ships during the combat, LNS-Discovery and LNS-Lawrence. Their escape pods and their crew were gathered by the other Liberty Navy ships and set down on Norfolk.
I got my ship repaired at Norfolk and returned back to Fort Severn. On the way I encountered Lick.A.Brick, likely trying to pirate a DSE transport. Calling Spear.B, =LSF=Predator.84 for assistance, I made a deal with the Outcast, in order to save the DSE pilot's life. The DSE transport was allowed to move, and I let the Outcast run, at the same time when my reinforcements arrived and chased after him. Keeping to my word as man of honor I just moved to Fort Severn to dock there, while I left that Outcast to the other Liberty Forces.
Operation Royal Flush - Bring down Battleship Oubli
Later that day, I was preparing myself for the Battle of Leeds. Undocking from Fort Severn within my Guardian, I made my way to Leeds, where I formed up with the fleet. It was truly an amazing sight. With a dozen of capital ships including 5th|LNS-Odyssey, six fighters, including Admiral Teerin, Lieutenant Darius John, and a bomber. Me, Lieutenant John, Admiral Teerin, the other fighter pilots and the bomber pilot formed up with 5th|LNS-Miami.Beach, just before we moved closer to Planet Leeds, where our capital ships already unleashed heavy fire at Battleship Oubli, unfortunately blocked by it's shields. Gallic Royal Navy vessels appeared then, a whole lot of Valors, at least six Bombers. two Gunboats and even some fighter class ships.
Fighters targeted Bombers, a few could be taken down, but we were chased by Gallic fighters and gunboats. There were losts on both sides, one after another capital ship breaking, exploding, soon also some of our fighter class ships. Admiral Teerin commanded us to focus fire at Battleshio Oubli, which guided to thessuccess of our mission, but also left our capital ships as easy targets. We managed to destroy Battleship Oubli and show Gallia, not to mess up with Liberty.
Even after completing the mission, we were ordered to stay and fight the rest of the Gallic fleet, which overpowered us slowly, hence to the lost of many capital ships in our ranks. 5th|LNS-Miami.Beach as well as Admiral Teerin's ship and a few others were destroyed. I was on of the few last ones who remained within Leeds, while other survivors returned to Magellan, due to critical damage on their ship. The few of us who remained in Leeds, kept distracting and annoying the Gauls for some time, slipping in between the mass of Valors, gathering the escape pods of the fallen Navy pilots. I took Admiral Teerin's, Lieutenant Commander Webb's and his crew's escape pods in my hold and made my way out of Leeds.
Entering Magellan, I encountered a Valor which was waiting at the jumphole, but it simply left to Leeds. I moved to Freeport 4, where I met Fleet Admiral O'Neill commanding the 5th|LNS-Odyssey, Lieutenant Darius.John, and few other Navy ships, as well as a Valor which was attacking said Navy pilots and ships. One of the Navy capital ships was destroyed, the survivors taken into 5th|LNS-Odyssey's cargo hold. The Valor didn't last long as we focused our firepower on it. After that, I made my way to Fort Severn where I got my ship repaired and set down the Navy Pilots and Crew within my cargo hold.
