Personally, although being good friends with many of the long time members, and most active members (at the time), gaining close relations with the leadership also eluded me. The RP with Infrared regarding Serpentis seemed to go completely unheeded, and I never knew if that was because they didn't like it, didn't follow the lead I was trying to give them, or were just simply far to occupied to give it much thought.
If you could please PM, I'm not really sure what you meant here. There were a few times our paths crossed and I kind of saw this RP rivalry as open ended, but the truth is with very little support from my own faction there is only so much a unarmed unsheilded transport can do. As for Oyster Creek, which you say "damaged Junker gameplay", although the Congress may see this as a defeat of sorts, the cost of that victory to the XA (probably one of the few real territory victories ever for the XA) wears on me more each day, and my long term goal of reaching Core 5 has already been denied, leaving me with the proverbial red-headed stepchild base and rendering the whole project in my eyes a failure. I was simply trying to achieve something for the faction I am a member of, one that is an enemy to the Congress.
I'm open to ideas and input as to how to try and reignite this one, I think some communication between the opposing parties would be beneficial to see if any good can come of it.
As to Oyster Creek, it did damage Junker morale as an inrp victory for the XA, but not was the final straw. I know that equally it was a morale booster for you and your crew involved, that's the way it worked out. The encounters that followed were all decent and fun! And yes perhaps due to the way the conflict played out over the long term it was well earned. But it did have its effect, even if purely psychological after a certain point.
Oyster Creek was rather minimal compared to us taking over a good amount of the lolberty arti market. I'm still rather amused that nobody from Junkers really got pissy or even cared about it. As for Oyster Creek itself.. ohnoes Xeeneer base in a scrap field you probably wouldn't ever encounter!11!1!! Compared to the Congress's PoB's effects on the population, I'll not shed a single tear.
