First I would like to thank your organisation for aiding me so far in my escape from the Agerian monsters.
I had a pretty normal life prior to five months ago I was born on Planet Pittsburgh to father who worked mercilessly in the Boron mines and a mother who worked in the Agerian planetary offices as an administrative assistant. In school and in college I was your average run of the mill student but I did have a particular aptitude in both organization and IT.
It was during this time I joined Ageria after seeing their stall in a Chatham University job fair and I will fully admit that their marketing department is one of the best when targeted to idealistic and naive young adults. I was assigned to Detroit as an IT assistant working in Operations ensuring that supplies and other goods that the base needs. As I was in all intents and purpose a model employee I was moved to their R&D department and placed in charge of the IT infrastructure surrounding “Project Indigo” a new type of disruptor that still gives me nightmares. Unlike normal hand held rifles and pistols this weapon is primarily used for shorting out vehicles in one or two shots.
However after that success the chief engineers and I were relocated to Planet Pittsburgh with permission from DSE to test the rifle on Planet Maine, and then I realised why we moved, we were ordered to test that weapon on human ‘volunteers’ but what shocked me was the source of the ‘volunteers’, of course the usual expected life imprisonment inmates who chose to shorten their sentences and the most horrifying thing was the use of the infirm and the elderly refugees who were chosen specifically because “they’re expendable.”
After the first day of testing on prisoners I voiced my concerns however the chief engineer just laughed me off and then threatened me with being a test subject should I leak the information. It was then I resolved to do something, I erased the specifications and I used the prototype on the team while they were sleeping, I slaughtered them like they did to the innocents earlier in the day. Luckily no refugee was shot by the weapon as the transport had technical difficulties and was destined to never reach Maine. I then primed the explosive charges and destroyed the makeshift facility. After that I reached Pueblo and with the cover story prepared to bluff my way out of Ageria when I saw your subspace transmission and I took that chance.
