Yes, I already understood you refer towards the "cockpit camera location" on the ship models. Its normal for that to be properly centered, while my version of the trading bridges simply is trying to represent interior from different point of view for diversity sake. Yuri back then encouraged me to do something new that is not "centered" like the Military bridges because otherwise would be too "dull" for all to be similar.
I know how that might be fixed, by changing the cockpit camera to be exactly where the bridge pilot is located (slightly on the left) but that will lead to tons of issues, which nobody would want to handle. For example if players are not using this "bridge" - their camera would be on the left instead centered and might feel even odd-er. Consider this as cosmetic tweak, nothing more. But if more players are having problem with it - the "Trading Version 2" cockpits will be all centered.
My vision is that Trading ships simply are too small and the "bridge" is close to a cockpit but slightly bigger than the fighter. That is why I wanted the players to feel they are not alone sitting there but there is also someone else on right side but you cant see it due to your field of view (Placing an arm would look odd).
I know everyone have different "visions" of how interior should look like - but for example I am not fan to "captain chairs" from star trek nor "star wars bridges" even though I am fan to both of these sci-fi universes.
What I did was primary focused on Freelancer - with best of my knowledge about the game, how it would look inside. Observing carefully Bar/Shop/Dealers.cmp and etc gave me understanding what could possible be there. But also - observing windows and exact positions of "original" outter bridges and ornaments. So, point was to give maximum feeling of an interior of a Freelancer ship. If you are using such a ship with obvious double pilot cockpit and you don't feel well being sitting on the left...I respect it, but this is part of Freelancer I imagine considering all listed above.
