There are plenty of interesting, less offensive ways to express oneself.

I haven't noticed this post before, so I will reply: sure, it works with people like Blood Dragons, Lane Hackers or Farmers Alliance. The problem arises with common motley, thugs and low-life gangsters, such as Mollys, Rogues, Maquis or Xenos. They aren't nice people with whom you'd like to have a tea party. They are pure-blood criminals, which are more likely to board the ship, abuse every woman (or man) on board, then flush them out into space - for fun. I don't think such people would even restrain themselves from cussing.
