POB supply changes incoming

Hello Xoria.

I just wanted to let you know of an issue I'm facing while supplying an order POB. Food rations from Akabat are way too expensive, making for around 12 million credits for a full transport load. We've been trying to cope with it for a while, however it's taking a toll on our funding recently. That's almost what one would earn from a trading run.

I'd kindly ask for a revision of that, since food rations are a crucial commodity for POBs, and while it may not sound as very concerning, it is quite an issue for the affected players.

This is not a solution I want to replicate in many places because it invites chaos, but I've switched off the current food resale of the Cambridge food type at Akabat, and added a Los Angeles food type resale at Akabat at a greatly reduced price of 1000 credits per unit. The current routes to Akabat for Cambridge food and Synth Paste from Stuttgart will remain as they are. So Akabat will import foods from Cambridge and Stuttgart, but sell the one from Los Angeles. When this takes effect after the next mod update, you should see two food commodities on your POB when you start restocking. One will be the old Cambridge type, and the new one will be the Los Angeles type. I cannot guarantee that these prices will remain unchanged in the future. That will depend on further system changes.
