How does it come for the corporation to have a cruisers?
A corporation in a house system in a direct war with Gallia that have 3 bases one of them in a direct interact with planet Leeds by supporting BAF with Marines and taking care of the refugees to be taken later to planet Sprague shall have something to defend it self.
A second danger that threatening Bretonian corporation like BMF is the direct enemy, which is the Molly that as well have cruisers that happen to be used against BMF during the mining operations in Dublin system.
A third threatening is the corsairs and the Red Hessians that happen to also attack and threatening BMF. Specially that we do mining operations in Omegas.
A potential of piracy possibility from a competitor like IMG that have the ability to use a cruisers against BMF in Taus and the Omegas even if we chose for our self not to go in this direction with our competitor and pirate them, they still they are able to do it.
Overall it was not meant to be abused and in the end its up to the Admins to decide if its a good idea or not
I will also explain my idea about other points that you did not mention and they are actually different from the NPC faction original ID for BMM.

Why i cant have business with a competitor ? why i cant use a competitor miner to mine for me ? if it is beneficial for me or for both of us i dont see any reason why not since its not gonna be a relationship, if both sides agree i dont see a problem and they still can compete in general and even have piracy against each others in other situations if required.

The original BMM ID contains only *Cannot ally with any unlawfuls* i added *except with Outcasts against other unlawfuls or Gallia only.* since its already exist in Outcast ID as follows *Cannot ally with any lawfuls except with Bretonian lawfuls against other unlawfuls or Gallic Royal Navy only.*
Also there is a common enemy with the Outcast which is corsairs that is why i mentioned the part *except with Outcasts against other unlawfuls or Gallia only.*
From Bretonia history it says
Recent crime figures released by the Bretonian Home Office show that 30% of piracy in core space is attributable to Corsairs, 23% to various Molly groups, 14% Hackers, 11% Gaians and Gaian-related pirates, 13% to the Bretonian Buccaneers and of the remaining 9%, of which most are independent pirates, only 1% have been positively identified as Outcast cases.
There is a rumour that says BAF are suspected to use Outcasts against Kusari during the war
All that means that the Outcasts are a special case for Bretonia so it make sense to ask Outcast for example to defend me for a fee or even sell them our production or even our ore since they can fly in Bretonia without any problem.
That is my opinion about the points that are different from the NPC faction original ID for BMM.
