As someone who just rolled out a Imperial (exile) Indie (I'm fairly new, and wanted to explore the Taus / Bretonia / Kusari after the Gallic conflict; I have to say there is some great, great content about), I was likely combing through the same forum posts and ingame inforcards you were recently.
Thanks to all that posted here; it's nice to hear it from those that were around. The Wiki and forums have the info, but it takes some time to really piece things together. For example, I knew the 343 were quite low in activity, but it does sound like it's a done deal due to ooRP stuff. As the Imperials are pushing back into Kyushu, a player faction has two fronts of activity: Gallic (border in the Taus, as well as the Bretonian / Council systems), and Kusari (make a territorial claim).
I would love to see activity something in the Nagano system, perhaps something regarding Planet Tomioka (and it's flyable planet!), as many factions have a reason to be there directly (BD, Samura fighting for control) or indirectly (people who rely on Samura to aid them, and allies of the BD). Or, just a quick skirmish, like some events have been.
Kyushu seems to be the hotbed of potential, with a three way struggle for a foothold in the system (Imperial vs. BD vs. Kusari Republic Navy). That would be a fun event; perhaps for the Imperials to make a push farther into the system, or the BD to make a claim.
Also, totally on board with the idea of factions rotating the obligation to host an event. Two weeks of "event" / RP, followed by two weeks of planning / prep for the next one.
Regardless, looking forward to see what events are rolled out; I really enjoy the faster paced / smaller scale events cycling through quickly, as it gives people a chance to dust off characters, jump into a system, and perhaps stay around for a bit.
