Life is very busy lately. Between going through endless mountains of paperwork to participating in meetings, both social and official, I could barely find the time to relax. What little time I had is always snatched away from me by those damn royal couriers bringing bad news or mentioning sudden events! I'm getting sick and tired of it. But with the danger lurking out in space ever since last time, I don't quite feel like personally participating in the humanitarian missions anymore. It's not like I have a choice in that regard in any case, with Charlotte still away, if I were to go out again, people would probably start hearing how fast those advisors would try to abuse the situation for their own filthy gain.

I still can't get over certain places in the chateau, everything about them just feels wrong. The dining room is always empty, the silence and atmosphere of that room is completely unnatural. I dread going anywhere near it, but I can't just avoid it completely. Ever since they increased the "security measures" in the mansion, servants are not allowed dine at the same time I do. The only thing to keep me company are just royal guards, and they aren't exactly talkative. Just expecting orders if I ever try to ask them something, frustrating! Staying inside is torture, going outside is a death sentence... What should I be doing? At first, I dreaded those social gatherings, going only out of necessity. Now it's because I'd rather actually escape the mundane...

What's even more bizzare is my sister. I understand her being ambitious with all the work she has to do as the heir apparent, but at least she kept -some- sort of contact with Orleanais. Now, she missed one of the most important events of the year, Landing Day. That's when every ruler, no matter how busy they are, pause their business and enjoy celebrating the day the Gallia sleeper ship landed on New Paris. Naturally, she didn't even come! She was supposed to give a speech, I tried calling her and writing her letters, but nothing came out of it. The last hour into preperation I was told I'd have to actually step in and give my own speech - it was awful!

I started getting curious on why she suddenly thought it would be a good idea to just neglect everything. I could only work around for so long before I start feeling like I'd rather get hit by a ship than continue through the day. What's even worse is that now she's completely disconnected from the Gallic neural network, either that or she's just blatantly blocking and ignoring any attempt to contact her! I asked our cousin, Francis, to help actually get in contact with her, but even his ship tracker wasn't able to find the ship, Calliope, that she's supposed to be on. What is that idiot up to?!
