Greetings High Command,
I don't know where to begin with this rather unpleasant incident, which I wish it never happened and even then, I wish I would have seen through this deception, before I acted. Here is the report concerning said incident which occured yesterday.
After a long battle against the terrorist Tutashika and the following combats against his comrades, which pulled a high toll upon my ship's hull- integrity, I turned off-duty and took my civilian ship named "Valor", to move to planet Erie in system Pennsylvania. There I met upon two Freelancers, whose names I can't remember - as their involvement in this incident was minor, as well as kusarian ship with "Order-ID" papers named ORG|Princess, and two police officers, one of them named Carlos.Lopez.
The Freelancers were just talking to ORG|Princess, as the police officer closed in and began to enforce the law upon the Order individual. Said individual claimed to not be part of the Order but work with them, as sciencist and research team and to have the permission to stay in Liberty, given by Commodore Kalh. The Freelancers confirmed this, either convinced by the Order individual or witnessing several Navy Officers giving this individual the same permission. Knowing that official representatives of the First Fleet [LN] and even we, can grant such permission for a temporary time, if needed, I believed ORG|Princess' claim to have this permission, while Police Officer Lopez, didn't. I told this officer, that true or not, this issue was concerning the Liberty Navy, and he shouldn't be bothered, that I would take care of this situation, how ever, my words were ignored, while I kept telling the Police Officer that, if the permission was truly given by Commodore Kalh - and or other Naval Officers, he had no justification in engaging the Order individual, and I would carry and execute said permission.
Charging and acusing me of neglection of my duty, the police officer engaged the vessel, while I returned to Norfolk Shipyard, to change into my freshly repaired Guardian, to move on duty again. Once returned in Pennsylvania, the Police Officer was unleashing fire upon the Order individual, which had shown no sign of hostility till then, right above of planet Erie. ORG|Princess returned the fire, defending herself, the situation almost escalated as hostility was "in the air". I managed to to suppress any further involvement by other pilots, but demanded both, the Police Officer and the Order individual to cease fire. The Order individual agreed and stopped firing, while the Police Officer kept shooting. ORG|Princess then decided to start moving and make her way out of Liberty, and the Police Officer followed her.
I take it the Order individual escaped successfully as the Police Officer returned, even grumpier than before, informing me he'd report my behavior and this situation. However, I remained in my ship, calming down from this rather unpleasant incident, spoke to the people to gather more information, without success though, only to be surprised by the Chief of the LPI demanding me to hold my position. I could simply have said "I don't take orders from the LPI, they are not my superiors, such as the Police Officer Lopez said when I asked him to cease fire upon the ORG|Princess, but instead I accepted the order given by the Chief and answered the questions. We discussed the issue, my intentions, their intentions, the justification of orders, the authenticity of this "permission", and why the "Order-ID" papers are yet, still not listed as criminal organizations within the Laws of Liberty. Once done, Admiral Reaser of the First Fleet, along with with two ESDR vessels named "Seagull" and "Phoenix" arrived.
Admiral Reaser demanded a report about this whole situation, and was provided by the report of Officer Lopez, then by me.
After this, I was ordered to follow [LN]ESDR|Seagull further away from the other vessels, and had to stand another interrogating by said Officer, explaining the exact same situation again. Then we returned back to Admiral Reaser and I was dismissed.
Even when my intentions were honorable and loyal, trying to enforce an order given by a superior officer, my efforts were meaningless, for the this order was never given and my behavior therefore not appropriate. Unwittingly, unknowingly supporting a lie, and lying on my own unintentionally, as I missjudged and missinterpreted words and the situation, I feel ashamed of myself, my performance and my behavior. The thought of being able to be so easily manipulated angers me, and the thought of causing possible unpleasant consequences, not for me, but more for Commodore Kalh and the 5th Fleet make feel sick. I request that any consequences which concern this issue, shall be enforced on me, for it was my fault that caused the incident after all.
I hereby apologize to the Officers of the Liberty Police and especially to Commodre Kalh and the 5th Fleet. I will ensure something like this will never happen again.
