Greetings gentlemen,
I come to you with a report regarding my trip to Planet Carinea's orbit. As some of you are aware, we made efforts to create an operating outpost on the surface of planet San Remo. Given to tactical and economic reasons, we found that, especially mr.Hussaini, considered just to move what was put on the surface of San Remo to a more exotic and a more close to Malta location, Carinea to be more precise. It's been for decades if not centuries, the admiration of the Maltese to explore the secrets of this planet. The location of it's first of all a complete anomaly and further more, the apparent "natural self-defense system" of it, consisting in unknown organisms that are present in the air and everything around, preserving the planet from outside interference.
A more reason to go there, for there were regions purely blocked from scanning, like covered with a dampening field, either natural or artificial it's the case of our study. Most people would believe it to be something natural, because of the radiation and the abundant level of radioactive metals in the planet's ground. That is not the case, because the geo-magnetic field of the planet is stable and natural like most planets. Those areas from the surfaces are simply blocked from scanners.
Despite all that, me and mr. Hussaini, took the Liberty to go to the Planet's orbit and make further scans using portable equipment from the Terminus Labs. Aside from the scans, we sent three probes to the planet's surface, on possible locations to establish a strong foothold. We've come up with three possibilities:
Probe 1 Location
The location is situated on the southern regions of the planet. The relief is consistent of valleys and small mountainous formations. The surveyed geolocation presents with an opening of several kilometers squared. It's surrounded with gigantic jungles and abundant fauna. But, there is a lack in connectivity with any rivers/lakes. So access for water, would be required from either underground or transported from a nearby lake that is situated at almost 100 kilometers. There is also a good quantity of radioactive materials such as Uranium, Radium, Thorium and several more. All necessary for our constructions and power relays. There is also a high seismic activity and any projects are near to impossible to do. Geo-stabilizers are not enough to compensate the magnitude.
Probe 2 Location
Archipelago type relief. This area is surrounded with small islands, filled with alkaloid metals and radioactive ones. The terrain itself is arid and the lack of rains make the atmosphere to raise a considerable high level of radiation. The toxicity levels are lowered though, but not enough to sustain the basic outpost's construction. Exposure could be lethal or at least very dangerous. Unknown creatures detected in the waters with the size of ten fighters along. It is to be avoided.
Probe 3 Location
Similar to the first location, the surroundings are balanced. There is not far from the flat zone where we can establish an expanded ground base, several mountainous formations where there could be applied further more tactical emplacements such as defenses and shielding construction. Resources are abundant, there are low levels of fauna and flora. The opening itself is around 30 kilometers squared. There is access to even one of the presumably main rivers of the planet, for it is large and possibly deep enough. Toxicity levels are in optimal parameters. Near the mountains, there have been detected several unknown energy signatures. They were blocking our scanners partially. Small pulsating lighting could've been noticed for several seconds. There might be something of interest there. Ruins or artificial structures. Presumably of K'Vosh origins. This should be the optimal location. It is located in the northern hemisphere and the climate is balanced as well given the nature and location of this planet.
