We've been authorized to claim an area of land around the "Bengħajsa" region, in the southern hemisphere of Malta. The construction of our Compound will start shortly, and will also be completed quickly, as most materials are available locally - though we may need to obtain some exotic items through discreet intermediaries.
And finally, we have the all clear to commence our operations on Carinea, I think the good Doctor will be especially pleased with this. The project will be extremely difficult, supply logistics aside, as open exposure to the planet's atmosphere can easily prove deadly. The outpost must be completely air-tight, our assembly crews and later expeditionary teams - must wear protective suits at all times while outside the complex, and then go through a thorough decontamination process upon re-entry.
After the first modular habitats are delivered and our assembly crews get to work, I think the first order of business should be to study the effects of the toxin on the human body, and if nobody objects, I'll gladly procure several slaves for this purpose. If the test subjects prove insufficient, the research teams can put up a requisition order through the secured channels, and further provisions will be quickly provided. It is imperative that we gain a complete understanding of this toxin as soon as possible.
