It's been a while since Charlotte's disappearance. The Maltese apparently have held her hostage for a while now, I don't know how the negotiations with them have went. I can't imagine being stuck with that uncivilised bunch, was she fed that drug of theirs? I can only pray and hope she returns without anything lasting once the negotiations are done...

Meanwhile, the Roi seems to have ordered the Royal Navy to be reformed, I've heard that a Grand Marechal has been appointed, I don't know what happened to the previous LeBlanc. I still have the honorary rank of Commandant, however I am not required to participate in the Royal Navy's actions still, thankfully. It hasn't gone wonderfully well for anyone who's in the line of selection, that's for certain.

The King has shifted his opinion to me greatly. Before, he never really acknowledged my existence - only meeting him during the special events that I was invited to along with Charlotte and my father. Now, I've been getting letters from him, invitations to come along to his events. There's something weird in his attitude, and I don't really like his fake politeness and concern over my livelihood. Something is off and insincere in the way he behaves towards me. He seems to want me to participate in the Royal Navy's operations, to show that we are all dedicated towards the Kingdom fully, so he says. What plans does he have?

Perhaps I should ask what's happening with Charlotte and the Maltese. They might listen to me.
