Report Begins:
A little over an hour ago I received a blanket communique from High Command which ordered all active officers to report to Sabah for debriefing and preparations to raid the Leeds System. I was the second to arrive just after Admiral Richard, afterwards, Admiral Henn arrived with five (5) other pilots and officers, ranging from Captain to Warrant Officers. We then proceeded to Manchester and onward to Leeds. Arriving at Planet Leeds we were met with several Valor class Gallic Battleships, supported by one (1) Obstinate class Battle cruiser, where Adm Richard began calling for the Galls surrender which they refused, of course. We then received reinforcements from the Bretonian Armed Forces, HMS-Victory commanding, as well as two (2) IKS Destroyers, all the while Adm Richard conversing with the Galls trying to convince them to surrender, sparing both sides any bloodshed. Just before the fighting broke out, one or two Maltese vessels arrived and offered support to us, only temporarily putting our differences aside. By this, we greatly out numbered the Gallic forces in the system, a fact that I believe we attempted to abuse and it cost us dearly. The first engagement was our bomber wing attempting to take out their Battlecruiser, which did not go well, after only 20 seconds in combat all of our snub craft were demolished. Adm Richard then gave the order for all forces to engage and begin by focus firing on the Gallic Obstinate. The enemy Valors then proceeded to fly straight at us, splitting us right down the middle, with our forces divided we were easy pickings, Nemesis, a command carrier, was the first capital ship to fall victim, shortly after Adm Richard was being harassed and in my attempt to distract the enemy, I was gunned down by a Valor and one of their annoying bombers. I can not report how the battle proceeded after my ship lost power to most of its systems and limped home. I can only assume it went poorly as we were very easily divided and conquered this day.
Our wing consisted of the following vessels: =CR=FV-Phobos|01, Adm Richard's Command Carrier
=CR=FV-Nemesis, <Unknown Commanding Officer>
=CR=Rogue, Cmdr Marquiss' Logistics Cruiser
=CR=Shocker, Cpt Thomas' support bomber
=CR=FV-Minotaur, <Unknown Commanding Officer> <ERROR>Information corrupted
Note: I believe we had three or four Warrant Officer's with us, as my database has been damaged I can not confirm.
Cmdr's Notes:
While I still consider myself a rookie Commander, at best, I believe our downfall this day was the simple size of the enemy vessels. With their flying bricks they could literally punch a hole right in the middle of us, this is something I will attempt to find a solution for in the future, but until then I can only repair my vessel and attempt guerrilla warfare against their supply lines. Next time, I wont be beaten so easily.
