You'll forgive the late nature of the response, but things have been hectic as of late and other priorities required dealing with. I'm sure you understand. Now then, to your points.
While I would not disagree with notion that attacking pirate operations helps internal security and thus allows for resources to be directed elsewhere, the primary issue is with locating such operations in the first place. Pirates, while brazen, drunk, and obnoxious, are not (overly) stupid, and know well enough to hide in the deepest and darkest corners of space. Getting reliable intelligence on actual places of importance to these types is difficult, much less planning a sizable operation in deep space against them. We will of course support any operations against so called modular stations that arise to support said criminal activities.
We are not currently under a state of martial law, and thus I cannot condone any such notion as banning information. Granted such false information should be countered wherever possible, but the optics of banning information would play more into the hands of these rogue elements as proof of their falsehoods than it would be to reinforce our own position with truth.
I do believe that Liberty Police, Inc. has established a publicly available hotline for tips on such information. We are content to allow them to develop that as they see fit. We will of course deal with any smugglers we come across as the situation permits, and I will see about tasking additional ESRD deployments when the assets become available.
I believe that any discussion of the state of affairs in Magellan would be better handled by War Department than by any particular fleet element. We will maintain operations in the Magellan theatre for the forseeable future, of course, but I do not believe we will be making the "big push" you desire any time soon.
