Messieurs, mesdames,
My latest operation took me, once again, in the heart of Liberty, the New York system. As a reminder, mission objectives were to seek, identify and contact possible separatist elements within the Liberty Navy.
Initial scanner readings upon my entry in the system revealed next to no activity, merely civilian traffic. My flight path took me deeper into the system as I maintained watch, and this went on for a solid twenty minutes. No hostile contact appeared, be they seperatist or not. From this, I deduced that one of two things might have happened. Either enemy signals intelligence failed to pick up my trail, or they did and elected not to dispatch forces to counter a single vessel.
Either way, I took offense to this, switched on my automatic identification system and started broadcasting on all frequencies. The reasoning behind this admittedly foolhardy decision was that I needed to elicit a response from the opposing forces. At the time, this seemed like the smartest way to draw attention from possible separatist forces, who might have kept silent thus far out of fear of being alone in their fight. Therefore, I made an open call for anyone willing to fight the Libertonian tyranny to get in contact with us and attempted to dispel the enemy's propaganda painting us as power-hungry monsters. I am aware of the obvious risks I took and how this approach went against standard intelligence gathering practices. I will assume full responsibility and accept any sanction you deem appropriate for the resulting consequences of my actions.
Here are my conclusions of the operation.
Item #1 : the Order.
- Identified elements from a rogue cell calling itself the Order. Their agents kept their identity hidden for as long as they could. Primary motivation is fighting against... Huh... My notes read "Organised alien race bent on the complete annihilation of mankind". It's what I could extract from our conversation. I will not comment upon the likeliness of this scenario. However, I will redirect you to an earlier report I cobbled together with what few elements I had available after a particularly severe encounter.
- Agents of the Order seem to possess high technology, a large amount of assets and very strong projection capabilities. The garbled signatures I could pick up from their platforms corresponded to warships of significant tonnage : considering we have no record of any forward base operated by this Order in this sector, either they know how to move large assets fast and discreetly, or they've prepositioned said assets in their areas of interest... Even if said areas include the heart of a major House. In either case, this shows them to be a very capable fighting force : a dangerous, unpredictable opponent, or a very valuable ally for decisive surgical strike-type operations.
- However, their political stance is strongly defined : they wish to stay neutral and have no alleged interest in inter-House warfare. Their sole point of interest is fighting their grand war against this terrible enemy, which raises the question of why they'd deploy heavy assets in the center of civilised space. I find faults in their logic, and I suggest we capitalise on them to coax them into working for us. First line of argumentation is that our endgame of uniting the Houses under one banner entirely coincides with their goal of uniting mankind against the alleged alien threat. This is a lead I recommend we follow.
[29.11.2017 21:51:43] Order|CV-Deceres: ?: Luckily I am not one to side with Houses. Far worse things lurk in the dark that Humans need to war with.

[29.11.2017 22:04:41] Order|CV-Deceres: ?: Gallia is fighting the wrong war. Like all Houses of Sirius. You all see each other as a threat yet turn a blind eye to

[29.11.2017 22:08:07] Order|CV-Deceres: ?: Trust me, you have seen nothing. The fleets of Nomads beyond the known space to Humans is far greater than you
[29.11.2017 22:08:10] Order|CV-Deceres: can imagine.
[29.11.2017 22:08:13] MRG|Marcel_Patulacci: I think your organisation could work well with us. We aim for unity : surely that would benefit your aims, as well.

[29.11.2017 22:09:01] MRG|Marcel_Patulacci: But then you should see the value in uniting the Houses.

[29.11.2017 22:10:02] MRG|Marcel_Patulacci: Rather than an obscure, lonely group ?
...
[29.11.2017 22:10:23] MRG|Marcel_Patulacci: Then how do you propose to win this war ?
[29.11.2017 22:11:03] Order|CV-Deceres: ?: What I would propose is something no House would agree on. We are after all terrorists in their eyes.
Item #2 : unknown cell, callsign H|.
- Contact established with a representative of a cell identified only by the letter H. This report will now refer to them as Hotel. No visual confirmation, but we've exchanged several communications.
- Hotel operatives keep a tight secrecy on their identities, their motivations, the means at their disposal and their endgame. Operative codenamed Tau-1 inquired upon the Gallic military's agenda, which I provided, keeping with the most publicly available information. Libertonian and Bretonian propaganda runs deep, and we will need to focus our efforts on addressing the issue if we are to secure a permanent foothold in these Houses.
- Operative codenamed Tau-1 quickly took my side when the Libertonian navy, frustrated at not finding me, started abusing me on the frequencies I was using. It appears my arguments helped shed a more positive light on our war effort : I elaborated on this and promised them support should they contact us, which operative Tau-1 seemed to accept.
[29.11.2017 21:47:39] MRG|Marcel_Patulacci: Our agenda is not one of annihilation and death, mystery man.
[29.11.2017 21:47:51] H|-Tau-1: What is your agenda then?
[29.11.2017 21:47:52] MRG|Marcel_Patulacci: Violence was deemed unavoidable, but it is not and has never been our endgame.
...
[29.11.2017 21:51:02] Forlorn|-Chrysaetos: Sarah: Huh? What's going on?
[29.11.2017 21:51:19] LNS-Minerva: a Gallic Lunitic
[29.11.2017 21:51:19] Rhys.LaCroix: Just one GRN trying to propagate stuff.
[29.11.2017 21:51:32] Phil.Walcott: A mad Gallic , nothing new there.
[29.11.2017 21:52:06] 5th|Nazawo.Ayato: Your king is a pathetic dude who think he can control mankind thoughs.
[29.11.2017 21:52:08] H|-Tau-1: With the Navy running rampart the GRN seems to speak more sane than the rest.
...
[29.11.2017 21:54:14] H|-Tau-1: Fighting Liberty's Navy is going to be a big step in the right direction.
...
[29.11.2017 21:57:49] H|-Tau-1: We all fight for what we think is right. I regret every delusional Navy pilot we have to take down.
...
[29.11.2017 22:01:05] MRG|Marcel_Patulacci: Again, I will ask all of you fighting this regime, or willing to, to get in touch with us.
[29.11.2017 22:01:22] MRG|Marcel_Patulacci: Gallia will support you, give you arms and guarantees.
[29.11.2017 22:01:32] MRG|Marcel_Patulacci: And together, we will finally bring justice and fairness to this people.
[29.11.2017 22:02:22] H|-Tau-1: Your message has been heard.
Item #3 : Murderers for hire, callsign Forlorn.
- I have included thIs outfit for the sake of the completeness of this report. There is not much to say.
- Murderers for hire. They have mentioned working for the Council, which speaks volumes about how low our Republican adversaries have sunk.
- Inadequate tactical and operational capabilities. Subpar fighting abilities and their operative, callsign Chrysaetos, who posed as their founder (and seemingly enjoys giggling and chuckling to a worrying degree for someone who pays their rent with blood money), was promptly dispatched by sous-lieutenant Enzo Lacroix, who is to be commended for his excellent conduct in the field.
[29.11.2017 21:51:57] Forlorn|-Chrysaetos: Sarah: A gallic? Ohh, there's always a good bounty on them.
...
[29.11.2017 22:01:49] Forlorn|-Chrysaetos: Sarah: And now, show yourself, I have a bounty to claim. *chuckles*
...
[29.11.2017 22:11:20] Forlorn|-Chrysaetos: Sarah: Sorry, the Council pays well. Way too well.
...
[29.11.2017 22:26:26] Death: Forlorn|-Chrysaetos was put out of action by MRG|Enzo.Lacroix (Gun).
Item #4 : Libertonian forces.
- About what you've all come to expect.
- I was engaged in a fair fight by a member of the 5th fleet, callsign Nazawo Ayato. The extended duration of my patrol had taken a toll on my acuity and alacrity as well as my fuel reserves : he gained the upper hand, but not by a large enough margin : I managed to take both of our ships out in a risky maneuver and was, thankfully, rescued by the victorious lieutenant Lacroix.
Attached is a guncam shot I took from the capital ship mobilisation triggered by the presence of just the two of us. I will leave the conclusions to Fleet Intelligence.
Final observations :
- I wish to stress that the intervention of lieutenant Lacroix was absolutely paramount to the success of this mission. Thanks to his timely arrival on the theatre, I was able to bring back valuable information and secure our contacts with possible separatist cells, while taking out two of the opposing force's ships at the cost of one of ours. I believe this should be reflected upon his operational rating.
- Liberty continues to show itself as a divided House, home to many strong local actors. Despite the high level of pressure our offensive is applying on the entire House, there seems to be no sign of a cohesive unification of the opposing force against us. We must strive to preserve this strategic context, which will work to our advantage on the medium term.
This concludes my report of today's events.
Pour le Roi, pour la Gaule.
