Luxury Spa and Cruise to Enter Budget Holiday Market

Orbital Spa and Cruise, famous for its luxury liners and holiday planet destinations, today unveiled its plans to enter the budget holiday package market with its subsidiary, PanGalactic Travel Ltd.

"We are expanding our cruise range to include modular holidays, partnering with planet side operators to deliver attractively priced holidays" says Donald Searsport, PanGalactic Director of Tourism. "With the open borders between Sirian houses and lifting of travel restrictions, there hasn't been a better time to enter the (package holiday) market. Continued peace between the 4 houses has encouraged sharing of culture and has planet-bound Sirians looking abroad for their yearly vacation." said Searsport.

PanGalactic will offer 3-4-star budget club "cruise and culture" packages targeted at younger holiday makers, couples, families, and OAP's. The proposed two-week package will include a return cruise aboard one of PanGalactic's newly fitted liners, and planet side accommodation and activity package provided by exclusive local partners. Whist PanGalactic admits not all destinations have been finalised, initial offerings of Planet Los Angeles to Planet Cambridge have been confirmed with pre-sale bookings set to launch next month.
"With the combination of new destinations and new services, we are ideally positioned to further extend our market leadership." Said Searsport.

In a statement, Orbital Spa and Cruise said it would "retain its distinct brand identity" continuing to provide seven-star service to its VIP clients, with PanGalactic operating separate routes to its parent company.

This announcement follows the luxury travel operator posting a 16% fall in year-on-year revenue in the 2nd quarter. The company blames losses on the continued Gallic conflict with Bretonia, and encroachment on Planet Curacao, it's premier luxury planet destination.

Pundits have speculated the decision to partner with local operators as a strategic move away from OSC's asset-heavy business model. In recent years, OSC have suffered significant losses, first with the damage of the Luxury Liner Shetland in the Gallic occupation of Edinburgh, followed by continued acts of terrorism on the OSC owned Planet Baden Baden by the infamous Landwirtrechtbewegung movement. Continued repair and growing defence expenses have led to poor financial performance, offsetting increases in turnover throughout the first half of the year.
